We were there for a few days with our campervan and dog. We had a pitch on the tent meadow, which was very nice in terms of space when there was less going on. The sanitary facilities at the campsite are very nice, I didn't like the ones on the tent meadow so much. The staff at reception were very nice, very helpful and flexible.
Negative ting
The sanitary facilities on the tent meadow could be improved compared to the others, but you can avoid them. The tea kitchen is not really in use, it could be made nicer, especially if there is bad weather, it would be very nice as a possible lounge. . I think charging €4.60 for a coffee-to-go is a bit excessive.
A beautiful stay
We generally felt very comfortable and had a very nice place on the Saalach. Everything you need is there. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful time out from the mountains
The campsite is in the middle of the mountains. There are plenty of excursions nearby. There is something for everyone.

Es war alles top. Herzlichen Dank für das tolle Erlebnis. Nur das Restaurant war nicht das beste und Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis war nicht in Ordnung. Etwas mehr Qualität für die Preise war grundsätzlich zu erwarten. Mehr haben wir aber nichts negatives, dafür vieles positives. Herzlichen Dank nochmals.

The location in the middle of nature is fantastic, the entire complex is very well maintained and the sanitary facilities are truly luxury - modern, clean and exceptionally comfortable.

This place can only be recommended, everything you need for a nice vacation is available. The location, facilities, relaxation and activities were all top notch. We will keep an eye on the pricing due to a change of ownership, as we would like to come back to continue our discovery tours.

Super campsite
It was our second time at this campsite and definitely not the last.
Everything is just right on this site! Straightforward check-in. Super friendly staff. Very large pitches. Great spacious family bathrooms. Sufficient washing-up facilities. Lots of opportunities to take the dog for a quick walk outside... the campsite.
The campsite is also beautifully situated in the mountains.
There is so much to discover in the surrounding area. Our kids loved it and so did we.

We would recommend this campsite 100%. And are already looking forward to the next time :)

Price-performance no longer fits at all
More than 30min check-in for a place on the tent meadow, which was already reserved and paid, double debit of the costs (refund has still not arrived), manageably clean toilet facilities, strange and opaque booking system including employees, who also have no control over it and that with just under... 60, - for a place on the tent meadow per night, on which after 3 days still broken branches of the last thunderstorm lie around including beer bottle and other garbage.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would definately recommend. The location is superb and easy access via bus to surrounding area. Beautiful riverside walks with amazing views. Loved every minute of our stay.

We went to the reception the day before check out to ask how we should proceed with check out the morning after bacause we wanted to leave early and we had to pay the tourist tax. When entering the reception, 2 people sat by the computer and didnt even look up to say ”hello, we will assist you soon”.... After a few minutes we were assisted. The lady said we had not paid anything yet. We had to show our bank details but she only replied ”thats not our camping”. We insisted and said that its showing swedish currency. She then went to the back Office and closed the door. She came back and said ”which card did you pay with”. I showed my card and she replied with an angry tone ”visa, master card?”. She then asked a collegue again and they said we had to pay about 67 more euros. So i though, OK, now you found my payment. I asked them whats that 67 euros was for? She Said we only paid deposition. I replied that the amount of the booking said ”total” not partial payment. She got more angry/frustrated. They both wanted to see my booking in my phone. They read it many times and read out loud ”tourist tax not included”. I agreed and said ”yes we know and we want to pay that”. They still insisted that we should pay more for the pitch. According to them the pitch was 77 euro per night which the booking i made didnt show anything about. After much discussion one of the lady told the other to only charge the tourist tax. I also told them that the booking site is not very good if the amount doesnt reflect the reality. The older lady just replied in an irritated tone ”thats falkstiener”.

Our experience was really bad with the guest service and sad to see that they were not very friendly and service minded. We have not been at a falksteiner before and we will probably not visit one again due to this. They made us feel like really bad people that didnt want to do right, and they used a irritated tone from start to ending.

Beautiful place - compromises in the organization
We were not informed in advance that the booked pitch could not be used in its full size. The meadow was cordoned off with barrier tape. We were able to spontaneously switch to the tent meadow. Early departure of a travel participant could not be charged in the booking system without major effort. This... is not very customer-friendly. Very inflexible. No price list to download from the website. Price information can only be obtained via a booking request. Final invoice is not transparent. There is only one all-inclusive price for the pitch. No breakdown into individual items (pitch fee, additional persons, electricity, etc.). This is not the gold standard.
Charging on the pitch is expensive.

Arrival at reception was very bureaucratic. Even though most of the information had already been provided we still had to complete a form and then the receptionists could not read my writing! Outstanding!
Overall a wonderful stay. The pitches were Horizontal which meant that we all generally had a private view of the lovely pastures or river. You can walk to the local villages which is a breathtaking view walk.

Absolute recommendation
It was our first stay at the Grubhof and we were thrilled. Our original plan was to continue our journey after 2 nights but we extended our stay.
The area offers so many possibilities, whether you are traveling as a couple, as a family or with a dog. There is something for everyone. The site itself is... beautifully situated by the river with a view of the mountains. The large meadow in front of the caravan/motorhome offers plenty of space. The cleanliness is excellent and the staff are very courteous and friendly. The restaurant on the site is also highly recommended.
We are absolutely thrilled and will definitely be back.
