Very unfriendly reception
We arrived on a Wednesday at around midday, out of season, and only wanted a camper place for 2 nights. When the lady at reception saw our German license plate, we were sent away brusquely and extremely unfriendly.

Positive ting
The location! Wonderful view over Trieste and the sea. The Strada Napoleonica from Opicina to Prosecco begins about 400 meters from the square.
Negative ting
Fairly small campsite for transit campers. Sanitary facilities a bit outdated (but clean).
Simple place in a great location
Note for cyclists:
The homepage rightly states that the direct route up the mountain from Trieste is very difficult to cycle (even for advanced cyclists). Contrary to what is stated there, I would recommend not following the main road, but taking the Strada dei friuli from Trieste to Prosecco (pleasant gradient, great views). From Prosecco, either take the Strada Napoleonica / Vicentina (gravel; amazing views) or the normal road.

Positive ting
The restaurant and the connection to public transportation. All the staff including the restaurant were very friendly. The restaurant was excellent, even if there was only one dish.
Negative ting
Payment in the restaurant was only possible with cash. The number of parking spaces is very limited.
Chaotic place with great charm
Ideal starting point for culture and sightseeing in Trieste without a car. The exceptional friendliness, not to say cordiality, of the restaurant owners should be emphasized.
