"Something different - I've never seen a CP like this before: as part of a soccer pitch with training fields. I found that positive. Simple sanitary facilities, just for soccer teams, but very clean. In 5 minutes you were on a kilometer-long sandy beach with great swimming opportunities, 10 minutes by bike to the town. A train takes you to Linköpping in 40 minutes (well worth it). Friendly, helpful staff. All round, large pitches, and something different.

"Kiting in Motala - This was the only campsite we visited on our tour of Sweden. The site is close to the beach promenade, right next to the football pitch. The clientele consisted of 99 percent Swedes who spent a few days or their whole summer here. We stayed 3 nights. Firstly, to get our camper van back in shape and to do some laundry. Secondly, we wanted to go kitesurfing on Lake Vättern. Booking was easy. The crew at the reception, or kiosk, helped us in a friendly manner in English. Walking around the site beforehand, looking around, no problem at all. There is a key for electricity, which you can use to access the socket. Electricity is available at a daily flat rate. There is also a parking card for the windshield to display so that no free guests sneak in. The key for the washing machine and dryer is available at the kiosk. You have to sign in on the list and then you have the machines to yourself for about 3 hours. We were able to clear our laundry pile easily. The only thing was that we probably overloaded the dryer. Probably an operating error on our part. After our washing line was full, the ball net from the football pitch was put to good use overnight. 😊 You can shower in the sports club building. 3 showers with pressure sensors, open and separated only by a partition wall. The directly adjacent sauna is operated by the sports club, there are no fixed times. Think when the soccer training is over, you might be able to join them. The motorhome disposal station is a little small. It will probably be difficult for a 4.5 ton truck to reach the pit. Cassette toilets can be emptied at the washing areas. The washing areas for the morning cat wash are tidy. Anyone who was in the army will be familiar with the 5 meter long washing troughs with 8 taps. Next to them, one room further on, are the sinks for washing dishes. Here, too, everything is kept quite simple. WC facilities, old but clean. The kiosk has a very small range of products, so it really is a kiosk, nothing more. The best way to go shopping is by bike over the bridge about 3 km to the east. Then there is a market on the left with a huge range of goods. Similar to REAL or WALMart. The beach with a small promenade is less than 100 meters from the square. There is a nice beach café with a surf school and a restaurant where you can enjoy a more chic meal. The kite spot is located in front of the youth hostel. Please make sure you talk to the kitesurfers on site, as they are only tolerated here. When there is a lot of bathing activity, the spot is not available due to lack of water. The campsite is well connected to the highway, but you couldn't hear it. The football pitch, well, what can I say, some people are bothered by it, others watch or play themselves. If you want it quieter, there are also pitches that are not right next to the pitch. We stood with our camper right behind the goal, it was always nice to watch and the ball net protects the camper's favorite vehicle from ball impacts. Campers camped at the positions on the far right where the coaches usually sit. Conclusion: The prices are moderate by Swedish standards. The site has everything you need, but to a basic standard. You still get pure camping feelings here. Anyone expecting marbled bathrooms is wrong here. Well suited for a short overnight stay, but also for longer. It's easy to get to Motala by bike. Gladly again.

" - The site is suitable for an overnight stop and a sightseeing tour of Motala. The site is less suitable for longer stays. The site is actually a sports field on which the verges and side areas can be used for campers. The sanitary facilities are rudimentary. The lake with sandy beach is about 100 meters away. Motala center about 3 km.
