" - Family-run campsite with very friendly staff. Beautiful location directly on a reservoir, very good opportunities for hiking and mushroom picking. Sanitary facilities acceptable. Hot water for washing dishes only for a fee. This is somewhat incomprehensible when you know that electricity is very cheap in Norway. Free W-Lan in the reception building.

" - We planned to spend the night here and took a 50 km detour to do so. The surrounding landscape is quite barren and lacking in excitement, interrupted only by hydroelectric power stations and pumped storage plants. The site itself is also located directly next to one such power station and is only separated from the main road by a river. Lots of permanent caravan campers; no flair. We briefly inspected the sanitary facilities, which looked dated. So I don't quite understand the positive reviews.

" - We were traveling with motorcycles and had a cabin for one night. small place, sanitary facilities small but very clean. The lake was very clear and clean, 2 rowing boats are free to borrow. The place is in the middle of nature right next to the road. We liked it!

The campsite is located 3,73 miles south of Rødberg, part of the council of 'Nore og Uvdal' and only 1600 metres from …the E40, the motorway from Kongsberg to Geilo. The campsite borders on the 'Hardangervidda Nature park', a beautiful area where you can walk, ski (cross country). This is the largest mountain plateau in Europe. The campsite is situated on the RV 40, the motorway from Kongsberg to Geilo. From Kongsberg it is about one hour drive and from Geilo it is about 45 minutes drive. Coming from Oslo, via Drammen and Kongsberg it takes …about 2,5 hours. Fjordgløtt Camping og Hytesenter is about 3,73 miles south of Rødberg. On the RV 40, the exit “Vrenne” and “Fjordgløtt Camping og Hytesenter” is clearly sign posted. After you have taken this exit you follow this road, via the powerplant and fishfarm, until you see the campsite after about 1 miles. jordgløtt means 'fjord view' and is situated directly at the Norefjord, a large lake between Nore and Rødberg.
