Very well-kept site with top sanitary facilities, there is even an elevator from the bathrooms in the basement to the pool on the second floor. There is a wonderful view from the heated pool, as well as from the pitches. The pitches are very spacious, but unfortunately without shade. If you have a dog,... you have great opportunities to run around directly from the site, but unfortunately four-legged friends are not allowed in the restaurant, but you can easily walk to Bodenmais. The site is laid out in terraces, with the reception, store and restaurant on the lowest terrace and the sanitary building on the top terrace. The site itself is quiet, with the road running directly underneath the pitches in row 1... which is very audible during the day.

A nice campsite in itself, although a bit expensive. We've been there several times.

We booked in April 2025, but had to cancel due to illness. A date of recovery was not foreseeable. However, the campsite insisted on the cancellation fee. I find it very sad that you still have to make a profit from this. We will definitely NEVER use this campsite again and will advise our friends and acquaintances not to do so.

It doesn't get any better than this
What kind of campsite was that?!!!
The pitches are perfect, you can enter the tent via the side entrance without stepping into the possibly swampy ground. The sanitary facilities are perfect and clean. The staff are so friendly, but not intrusively so. All in all, a perfect site with great staff and... super facilities. Anyone who has or finds something to complain about is beyond help.
I'm almost inclined to set all the ratings to 1, otherwise the place will be overflowing in the future.
We will definitely be back.

Luxurious, beautiful place
Very nice, new site with first-class sanitary facilities. The pitches come in different sizes and are nicely laid out with a hedge to the neighbor on one side. You stand "back to back". However, many pitches are sloping. But they can be leveled out.
Great skypool, which unlike the sauna does not have... to be paid for separately. Sauna quite expensive compared to other luxury campsites.
For dog owners there is a great dog meadow and plenty of walking paths directly from the campsite.
Worth mentioning is the aktivCard Bavarian Forest, which offers many really good discounts. Not comparable with guest cards, which offer discounted admission here and there. This is real added value.
Gastronomy at a high level. There is no option for classic take-away (e.g. pizza). Buns are available to order, but also very expensive.
Unfortunately, there are only two vending machines for chemical toilets (2 euros).

We (a couple) spent 2 wonderful weeks at Camping Resort Bodenmais and were thrilled.
The pitches are of different sizes, very well maintained and equipped with all connections (electricity, water, waste water, TV).
The sanitary and wellness areas set standards in terms of cleanliness, facilities and ambience.
The campsite's own restaurant deserves special praise and should be visited by everyone at least once. It's worth it!

The cleanliness. Everything is absolutely spotless. The skypool. Simply great. The sanitary facilities. Top. The pitches. The reception, the restaurant, the staff, the breakfast, the food.

None. The only pity is that children are only allowed to use the pool from 14:00 to 18:00 and the sauna is only open from 16.

Very chic campsite with particularly great sanitary facilities.

Also very suitable in bad weather due to the wellness facilities and indoor activities. A hike to the Silberberg is also recommended.

Great space with lots of comfort
The campsite is well signposted, the access road is clear, but the waiting area is a little small for many arrivals. The barrier opens automatically with license plate recognition. Reception was very friendly and courteous. An Activecard is handed out with which 130 activities in the region can be used... free of charge.
Great pitch with water, waste water and electricity. All pitches are equipped with grass pavers so that caravans/motorhomes stay clean.
The site has a very modern sanitary building, which was always clean. The sky pool is absolutely amazing and the sauna area is also really great!
The restaurant and bar on the campsite are highly recommended. The breakfast buffet also leaves nothing to be desired. (only with advance reservation!)

Conclusion: A really great place that calls itself a resort. Great surroundings for hiking and mountain biking.
We will definitely be back.

The sanitary facilities are the best ever. The wellness area is also super nice. Great panorama sauna and great relaxation area. The swimming pool is also good but too small.

We were kind of disappointed. You have to pay €20 per person per day for the sauna and it doesn't open until 3pm. The kicker, however, was that the disposal of the black water was not free of charge. Two euros are charged for this. We've been campers for years and we've never really experienced this before. The site also has a nice view, but is rather sterile and has far too much concrete. It's more of a pitch or parking lot atmosphere.

Very noisy because surrounded by main roads and railroad line, Price very high for the service (except pool nothing is included), children are only allowed in the pool from 2 - 6 pm, at almost 90 € (2 E, 1 K) daily the sauna costs 19,50 € extra per person ;),
That works better
There are better places for the high price.
.... In addition to the electricity (1 € per kw), even the water tap is deactivated directly after paying the bill :)

Everything is new and very well maintained, friendly welcome at reception, pitches in different categories;
The campsite is laid out in terraces.
Electricity, water, waste water, cable TV... directly at the pitch.
Pitches paved plus grass area.
Sanitary facilities always clean and very comfortable.
Pool... with 34 degree water temperature and wonderful panoramic view included.
Sauna for an extra charge.
Dog shower, motorhome supply and disposal in a hall.
Small dog run in the immediate vicinity.
Walk to Bodenmais about 15-20 minutes.

Negative:
Massage practice, cosmetics, hairdresser are missing in this resort.
No childcare.
No activities offered by the resort.
High price per day,
Restaurant expensive and very small portions,
1 normal Kaiser roll costs €1 (outrageous),
Children's playground unloving, no slide, no swings, no climbing frame.
= Absolutely negative.
Indoor playhouse with only table football, billiards, table tennis and maxi Lego bricks.
= unattractive
When you come out of the pool you freeze your A.... off, there is no airlock for cool days!
Conclusion:
Nice place with room for improvement.
In the near future, however, we will be going to sites that are cheaper and much more perfect.

Our standard pitch was also great and the staff were very friendly. However, the modernity is almost too much of a good thing. We also liked the restaurant very much!

TOP place that is rightly called a resort
We've only been there once and will be back more often.
One of our top places in Europe. Absolutely coherent concept, mega architecture, great ambience, beautiful view... Everything fits here.
The proximity to the national park is great, even though very beautiful hiking tours start right from the campsite.
Especially great with a dog.

We booked in
April (5 months in advance), with the wish that they should be next to each other. The pitches were not next to each other. On our friendly question, whether it was not possible (many places were free or the neighboring places were assigned at short notice) no effort to find a solution.... We regretted this very much and said that we would write this in the review. The reply was that they would not allow themselves to be blackmailed. We don't want to be blackmailed, we want to provide factual information. It is a great pity that guests and their concerns are treated in this way.

There is none!
Simply a dream
Relaxation, wellness, peace, nature, friendliness - that's what Campingresort Bodenmais is all about for us.

Super clean and comfortable sanitary facilities with rental bathrooms, rain showers, dishwashing room, laundry room, fitness room, sauna, relaxation meadow...

The staff, whether reception, hotel,... kitchen, service, cleaning, groundsman, always courteous, helpful and friendly.

We have been there several times a year for short or long stays since it opened and can rate the place.

And yes, this service and luxury comes at a price. But it is worth it.

Everything negative, such as noise, dirt etc. does not come from the site but from the campers themselves, which is a shame.

We had a wonderful vacation on the CP.
Sanitary always clean, pool wonderful (even if sometimes quite full), pitches good - somewhat sloping due to the terraced layout, must be leveled with wedges.
Overall a sanitary house, chemical toilet must be cleaned by Camperclean.
To the town center max. 2 km,... there are shopping facilities, restaurants, . .
There is a lot to explore in the surrounding area.
In front of the CP bus stop for the local bus and others.
CP expensive, but you know that when you book.

Appearance and equipment of the sanitary facilities.

No parking facilities for caravans and mobile homes on arrival. Unfavorable for waiting times when arriving at lunchtime. Very sloping pitches. Moderately friendly staff at reception. Expensive bread rolls. No seating in the shower. Very loud due to children shouting. Expensive electricity. Gyms and sauna cost extra. Pool usually overcrowded in summer.
Disappointing
The place is tidy and clean. However, everything seems very sterile. Only 1 house with sanitary facilities.
Overall, there is no pleasant true camping feeling. The store is moderately equipped. Not a classic store for a campsite. But you can get everything in the village. We didn't go to the restaurant.... The restaurants and inns in the village were more attractively priced. It wasn't the right place for us. The children screaming in the playground in the evening was also bad.
