"Additional fees for reservations??? - A follow-up inquiry via email went unanswered. A sign of poor customer service 👎 I didn't make a reservation. There are plenty of campsites in Thuringia that offer good quality and good value for the money.

"Great and quiet location - I made a reservation request at the end of January 2025 and quickly received a nice written confirmation. When we arrived, we were given a very warm welcome and a detailed briefing about the site. We stayed at the campsite from 05.08.2025 - 09.08.2025 and felt very comfortable there. During this time we went on very nice hiking tours. The restaurant only offers self-service, but the price and service are absolutely right. We can really recommend a visit to the restaurant.

"Very disappointing accommodation - The bungalow was worn out and poorly cleaned (photos for all the statements made here are available, by the way), the "mud" from the previous owner was still on the mirror, the 2 hotplates and worktop were "sticky", the pillows are simply disgustingly sweaty feather pillows with yellow-brownish traces of sweat. Luckily I had my own pillow with me. The mini dishwasher doesn't work, the flush button in the bathroom area falls out when you press it. The pull-out, worn-out, old couch is perhaps suitable for an overnight stay, definitely not for more. Under the couch there was dirt from the previous occupants. The bathroom is okay, but everything else should be modernized and always cleaned properly. The restaurant has a buffet dinner on Saturdays from 5pm for a hefty €25 per person, by 7pm there were only simmered leftovers. The playground has some safety deficiencies, the garbage can there was not emptied during the whole week. Each bungalow should have an overview of campsite practices, such as the garbage site/disposal, lending and lending times, ... There is no WLAN. The campsite would really have great potential if innovative people were working there with passion. Unfortunately, they are resting on a campsite award from 20-25 years ago and see criticism as an attack instead of a reason for change.

"I don't want to come here anymore. - It makes me really sad that our only vacation this year was here of all places. Unfortunately, I can't understand the positive reviews in any way - our apartment was by far the worst I've ever stayed in. Cleanliness: 3/10 There was a toenail on the floor - that speaks for itself. The microwave and freezer were visibly dirty, the latter even with the remains of the previous tenants. The pillows were stained, musty and made of old feathers. There was mold in the corner of the closet and the walls were very dirty in places. Facilities: 2/10 The bed linen was full of holes and had pulled threads. The mattresses were sagging - we slept badly. Numerous furnishings were damaged or defective: including glass, shower (hole in the floor), socket cover, window pane, curtain rail. We had to fix the screws of chairs and cupboard handles ourselves. No blackout curtains, no bowls for eating. There was no television - but at least we had the operating instructions for it. Our allotment is better equipped than this accommodation. Service: 5/10 The will to be friendly is recognizable, but real customer orientation looks different. A few examples: We wanted to hire a boat for two hours at 11am (cost: €100), but were told that this would only be possible from 12pm because it was a "break". Our laundry was taken out of the machine because the campsite manager wanted to wash his own - 7 minutes after the end of the program. We had to pay for the final cleaning, although the apartment had obviously not been cleaned on arrival. On arrival we were looked at askance because we (three of us!) were moving into a 4-person apartment, for which we had of course also paid - an additional set of bed linen was apparently already too much and should be "put to one side".

"Beautiful view - Clean sanitary facilities and a nice big bin area. The view is great and the pitches are a nice size. The restaurant is delicious but only open until 8pm. Bread roll service is also good. Staff very helpful and friendly but a little overwhelmed.

"4-star place with a lot of catching up to do in terms of infrastructure and equipment - We are already the 4th time on the 4-star place as a camper guest.But unfortunately the stars are fading more and more.You can not only increase the prices every year without the infrastructure and the equipment of the place also times noticeably improved.WLAN has never worked on the place and not again this year.Nowadays something like this is standard on a 4-star place. The cleanliness of the sanitary facilities has deteriorated a lot this year.on a 4-star campsite you can expect as a camper that a thorough cleaning takes place daily.the groundskeeper couple makes a great effort, but they can't do everything.in the past they had extra staff for this. The practically non-existent bathing beach has been a nuisance for campers and bathers for years, and the almost annual lowering of the water level due to repair work on the dam wall would have been a good opportunity to level the terrain here. The slipway for boats is a disaster, too narrow and far too steep, and here too a significant improvement could be achieved with little effort. There have been two rowing boats lying around on the tent meadow for years, which is unfortunately not just a visual defect. The disposal point for motorhomes and the machine for cleaning the toilet cassettes are still locked and therefore unusable. The waste separation works, but unfortunately a huge lake forms in front of the garbage cans after a heavy downpour. At some times there are simply too many dogs on the site and not every owner keeps to the compulsory leash and walking them across the tent meadow is not allowed! It's a shame that this beautiful site has so many shortcomings. It's up to the owner to finally make some improvements.
