Fantastic location directly on the lake

Sanitary facilities not well maintained. Access road the last 2 kilometers forest road with sand holes
Fantastic location, but only conditionally recommended.
Visited with trailer tent, couple, no children !

A fantastically situated CP with lake access. The last 2 km to the site is just a forest path with a few sand pits. Could be tricky for larger camper vans.
June is apparently still low season. That's why we were the only guests. English is spoken by one... person.
The sanitary facilities are old-fashioned but ok in themselves.
Unfortunately the showers looked like dogs. The ladies were cleaned, but not the men.
There was also no hot water in the showers. Maybe due to the low season.

Ok for a two day stay with own supplies.

Lonely CP in a wonderful location
We were there at the height of summer and... were almost the only guests. A campsite with pitches for campers with a wonderful view of the lake and a huge meadow for tents. You could also buy things for everyday use at the reception, otherwise you have to bring everything with you or try your luck in... the lake. There were plenty of fish. The access road is through a forest. The sanitary buildings looked new and were clean, well, nobody was there ;o) The nearby town of Kuldiga was our actual destination with the widest waterfall in Europe and a pretty old town.

Beautiful place. Lonely by a lake. On the other side of the lake is the Fehrnstrasse. You can hear the trucks there in the peace and quiet. We were the only campers in the high season. Only a few huts were occupied. We had the lake to ourselves with a family in a tent. Pure relaxation.
