"A load of rubbish - Having known this campsite for several years, we returned with a van and caravan in mid-July 2014. The reception is now closed between 12pm and 3pm, but having arrived on site and calling the cell phone displayed at reception, we manage to reserve a pitch. The Boss will point out that we've drawn him out of his aperitif, ha ha, and turns out to be talkative, even boastful about his professional experience and his website with online booking... In short, he shows us to our pitch directly by the sea, which is pretty good, except that I notice that it's quite sandy and not very grassy. Then he asks us to pay the full amount of our potential stay, i.e. around €210 for the week. I'm ticked as this is the first time this has happened to us in 20 years of camping. During our stay, I get bogged down with the van on the recommended pitch, even though I'm an experienced three-wheeler driver! As the weather is extremely fine, we inform the boss's wife that we'd like to stay a few days longer, and also that we've stayed sanded up. After consultation, our request is accepted, but once again we have to pay for everything in advance. I argue that the service hasn't been rendered, and that since we're stuck in the sand, we're not going to leave for the day incognito. The boss's wife wants the cash right away, but as I've got nothing on me, the operators will come after us after two days out of a three-day extension... My wife pays the bill in advance and asks the boss to help us get out of the site due to silting. On the big day, as if by a miracle, no one from the management was there, so 7 of us and a big rope got together to pull the caravan out. Moral of the matter: this manager is banking everything on the foreign clientele passing through, who pay for everything in advance via the Internet, and is neglecting the regular clientele. He would do well to know his pitches better in terms of accessibility, to charge his regular customers at the exit like all the other establishments, and to train his wife in the quality of reception. In short, as you can see, this is the last time I'll set foot on this campsite.
