A regional site and quite remote for an adventure vacation. Expensive for unaccompanied campers and the pitch is sloping.
Newly renovated, beautifully situated but not necessarily something for campers
I know the site from 20 years ago and a lot has changed since then. New modern washrooms, pitches and a natural bathing meadow. The permanent campers form their own village and are separated from the campsite by the lake. The pitch costs almost 20.00 euros. That's certainly okay for a motorhome, but... I found it a bit much for a tiny tent. There are practically no shopping facilities, you have to go by car. The site is in a secluded location, not far from Saarbrücken or Metz. It's certainly a good place to relax if you have small children and are there at the height of summer. It was just too remote and dreary for me in the fall, so I only stopped there when I was passing through. The tent pitch is sloping.

Still open in October, but only 1 x daily cleaning of the sanitary area and no shower (now also normal WC). Super quiet location in the middle of "Wallachia" on a lake. Adapter for electricity could be borrowed free of charge, otherwise zero service. OK for self-catering and overnight stays, could stay coupled, directions on the homepage misleading, as described from Paris, from Germany better trust the NAVI!
