During our stay many German guests who became increasingly noisy as the hour progressed. Bread order went completely wrong despite mail confirmation. Martin H.septembris 2025PozitīviVery easy online booking with seat selection. Very friendly reception! Beautiful site - very large - but no feeling of overcrowding. Very modern sanitary facilities - very clean. Sommerach is within walking distance.NegatīvaisNone - just a request for improvement: Men's toilet still a shelf, if man wants to put something down (shower stuff).Very nice CP in a very nice area....A very familiar CP with a friendly welcome. The sanitary facilities are spacious, very new and very clean. The pitches are large enough and parceled out. Sufficient supply of electricity and water.
The surroundings of Sommerach are very beautiful: the Main cycle path runs directly through Sommerach.... There are some interesting towns in the area: Würzburg, Kitzingen and the Mainschleife....
You can swim in the Main from the campsite (in a bay without a current).
Conclusion: highly recommended!Automātiski tulkots.- Ni U.jūlijs 2025PozitīviVery clean and spacious sanitary facilitiesNegatīvaisWe have not found itSuccessful spontaneous visitWe fled the weather in Tyrol at the end of July and spent 4 days soaking up the sun at the Katzenkopf campsite. My husband and I have slightly differing opinions about the sanitary facilities. I am very enthusiastic... Daylight, everything was clean, very spacious and there were plenty of them. My husband... was sometimes extremely annoyed by the smell in the men's area and also that the toilets were more like school toilets (cubicles and not locked). Now I have never visited the men's sanitary facilities and can't make a judgment, but the ladies' facilities were really great and for me one of the best I've seen on a campsite. The starting point for activities is very good, there are plenty of opportunities for both hiking and cycling. We enjoyed the restaurant very much and the prices are moderate. Ordering bread rolls online was also great and always worked well. Overall, the campsite had a quiet atmosphere. We felt comfortable and can well imagine visiting the Katzenkopf again.Automātiski tulkots.

Nature and wine lovers, as well as gourmets, will get their money's worth. The old town of Sommerach with various great restaurants and wine taverns is right next to the campsite.
Sanitary facilities and pitches are very clean. Great pitches... for short breaks...without unhitching.
Unfortunately it is advertised with super Wlan...we had none...despite several comments no reaction or accommodation. The campsite was full to capacity over the holidays, but the peace and quiet on the campsite made it a great place to relax.
There is only one sanitary building on the site, so it had to be cleaned while it was in use. But... a big compliment to the staff, it was always very clean and there was very little disruption during cleaning.
The site is very suitable for cycling tours along the Main.

which are usually not mentioned at all or only at the end of a review. Likewise with the people who are responsible for the cleanliness of the facility......
because it is only through the interaction of the staff that the pitch/sanitary facilities... are clean and well maintained!
A stroll through the nearby towns such as Schweinfurt or Kitzingen.....
is highly recommended. The cycle paths either along the Main or through the vineyards (with wonderful views of the Main valley) compensate cyclists for their efforts.... E-bikers are not allowed to enjoy this view (because no pain... no gain)!
There is no need to comment on the advantages of Franconian cuisine, fish and wine bars anyway!
Worth mentioning is the public bookcase.....
for almost everyone from 8 to 80
from light reading to thick tomes.
The high marks in the other reviews are well deserved. The Bavarians had good reasons to incorporate Franconia! Yes, we are also usually at least once on a campsite in Franconia..... why....?

The whole team is very nice and helpful. The cleaning team goes to great lengths to keep everything clean! Which is not so easy because there is no closure during cleaning time, that should somehow be reconsidered. I don't think it's very nice for the... cleaning staff either!
They didn't have it so easy anyway, because I've never experienced campers being so absolutely inconsiderate on a campsite! The toilets were mostly dirty, there was paper everywhere on the floor, so it was really an imposition for the cleaning staff and decent campers. Perhaps it was due to the very busy through traffic.
Unfortunately, the campers who were only there for 1/2 nights were generally very inconsiderate, it was very loud until late in the evening when we were showering, we had our pitch near the sanitary facilities.
