Very good starting point by bike to Bamberg
Large site, divided into with dogs and strictly without dogs.
Some pitches by the river, some by the road, but also beautiful pitches in green and quiet areas. Mostly under trees.
Great - an employee leads you to the pitch by bike, very relaxed, you don't have to turn around and search.
Disposal of the... chemical toilet pleasant with several outdoor options.
Sanitary always clean. Showers without additional payment - very pleasant, no coins or similar. You have to bring extra slippers just for the shower/washbasin and change - not a recommendation, will be checked emphatically! Slippers alone are not enough. Guests were sent away again by the staff because of this.
Gastronomy Idyllic location with beer garden and terrace by the river. Good food.
Cycle path - through the village on a little-used road about 1 kilometer on the side of the road, but then own cycle path / footpath to the city center to Bamberg about 20 minutes.

Various shopping facilities can be reached by car in approx. 10 minutes.

Rather a restaurant with overnight stay
A good place for a stopover or to explore Bamberg. You don't stay here because the site is so beautiful and has so much to offer. The outdated play area was only partially usable due to fencing and some pits. The restaurant is the main attraction and seems to be exceptionally good. Always packed. Due... to the self-service, there are always long queues stretching from the outside area through reception to the kitchen. Both are managed by the same staff at the same time, which made check-in extremely slow for us. After about 40 minutes it was done. The sanitary facilities were clean and adequate.

Mega space
We were there for one night as a transit. Mega sanitary facilities (3x) with sauna, Wirpool etc. We stood in front of the barrier with electricity and water and were able to leave early. The site is huge and right on the river. Bamberg a little further away. Would come again in a heartbeat!

Perfect location for exploring the city

We stayed at the site for 3 nights. Registration and allocation of pitches was good and uncomplicated, although it was very full. The restaurant is also very good, although self-service but very well organized. Find your seat, remember your table number, go in and order, drinks are served immediately,... food is brought to your seat. Good value for money and a relaxed team. There were not enough showers and toilets in wash house 3 for the large number of campers. You sometimes had to queue. You could have gone to one of the other houses but sometimes that's not so easy. But everything was clean and spacious. Location right on the cycle path to Bamberg. Any time again!

The kitchen could be open longer, as there are hardly any places to stop for refreshments around it that can be reached quickly.

We arrived on 4.5.2025 the weather is great we landed on pitch F9 very quiet and idyllic by the lake with trees.But since we love the sun, the place was too shady for us :-) so we went to reception and asked for another place 😁 then it happened 😃 we got the best place on the island F 15 pure sun ☀️... from then on our vacation really began 😀 in the evening around 10 pm a wonderful concert by the birds that is incredibly beautiful a pure balm for the soul.so all those who love the sun F 15😁 you are totally on your own so wonderful, actually we wanted to go hiking on the day of the move 😁 yes somehow we are .... from one place to another 😂 now we just enjoy life...many thanks to the team for this change .... kind regards Nadine & Cerry from Blumenweise 1 😁🌞🌞🌞🌞

Professionally and family-run top course!
The site impresses with its simplicity, friendliness and professionalism. The sanitary facilities were always clean and the catering was very good. We felt very comfortable with the pitch right on the water and will definitely be back!

Weekend trip
We spent the weekend here at the campsite 🏕️. We received a friendly welcome and were shown to the pitch by a friendly member of staff.
You can visit the restaurant on site, where a chef cooks. 👩‍🍳
The sanitary facilities were always clean 🧽. Thanks to the cleaners. The campsite is not just a place to stay, you can also go on nice excursions to Bamberg. This works quite well with the bus 🚌.
We will be back again.

Beautifully situated, very well-kept campsite
The very well-kept and quiet site is located directly on the Regnitz. The sanitary facilities are in top condition, everything is very clean and well maintained. The restaurant directly on the banks of the Regnitz is also highly recommended. Bamberg center can be reached by bike via the beautiful cycle paths in 10 minutes. In summary, highly recommended.

Without ifs and buts
We arrived at the campsite at around 12:00 noon. Unfortunately it was not possible to register. We had to wait about 2 km away until after 13:00 to register. I think this should be changed urgently, as you can't wait directly at the campsite.

The registration then went smoothly. We were very kindly... informed about the conditions and accompanied to our pitch by a member of staff.
The sanitary facilities are a dream and can't be beaten.
The restaurant and food are to be recommended.

The supply of bread rolls could be improved.
The price is not exactly cheap either.

All in all, however, a place that can be recommended. We will also visit the camping island again.

The 2 sanitary facilities are very clean, the pitches are large, the town of Bamberg is easy to reach by bike and there is a bus stop right outside the campsite. The extensive menu is to be recommended, e.g. you should order "Schäufele" in advance! Very friendly and courteous operators!

Good campsite for sightseeing
Overall, we had a nice stay, but I didn't really feel comfortable on the site. Lots of prohibition and mandatory signs point the way at every point, although the registration desk and staff were always friendly. The basic layout of the site, a simple meadow with an asphalt path, would not make me want... to spend my vacation here, despite the location by the river. Only the bare essentials are offered here. For 2 days to visit Bamberg, however, it is excellent. It is about 4 km to Bamberg's old town.

Good starting position for Bamberg
My consistently positive rating refers explicitly to the direct water pitches. These can usually only be booked for 7 days or more during the season.

The enchanting town of Bamberg is only 4 km away by bike. There is also a regular bus service. The friendly staff will provide information about this... at check-in.
The starting point is also ideal for other cycling tours in the region.

The pitches are large enough and have electricity and water supply.
The mix of holidaymakers with tents, vans or caravans and permanent campers is very pleasant. It's just a shame that some of the caravans on some of the pitches are very rotten.

Bread rolls of a decent quality can be collected from the store from 8 a.m. if ordered in advance. Here you can also buy small daily necessities if required.

The sanitary buildings are of a good standard. The individual showers are a good size and were always in perfect condition.
The toilets were also clean at all times.

One thing's for sure, we'll be back here again!

Due to the short length of stay at the campsite (2 nights), we were we were allocated a pitch on the edge of the site in the immediate vicinity of the passing main road. Our pitch was clearly visible from the outside be seen from the outside. On the second night, our two high-quality bicycles were promptly stolen, which were properly secured with chain locks directly on the vehicle. Obviously the thieves climbed over an old, low fence from the nearby main road fence, which is easy to climb over even on a bicycle. In my eyes, this is a serious lack of security. Unfortunately the campsite operators took little interest in the incident, The police didn't want to come and we were told to report it online. We feel completely left alone with our problem, the campsite, which is actually campsite will never see us again. I am very I am very sure that we are not the first and not the last victims of theft due to the circumstances described, especially at our site.
Bicycle theft
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the campsite due to the questionable security situation... The thieves were extremely professional.

Nice welcome, groundskeeper cycled ahead and showed 3 places to choose from. Ideal for cycling tours with few inclines. Little lighting on the paths so no stray light at night, but there are flashlights in an emergency. The road at the edge of the pitch is hardly used at night. Simple billing. Persons... - pitch and that's it. Electricity and shower included, prices absolutely ok. Spacious showers and sanitary facilities that were clean at all times of the day.

Nice place in a good location
The site is in an idyllic location on the Regnitz, and Bamberg is easy to reach by public transport or bike. It is divided into two areas (old and new), whereby the new part is naturally less overgrown and therefore appears somewhat bare.

You'll find everything you need here: perfect sanitary facilities,... a bread roll service, a small store and a restaurant with a beer garden. A member of staff on a bike will take you to the pitch (and show you several if you want) and the team is friendly all round. I can recommend the site unreservedly, we would go there again.

The only thing that catches the eye every day is the flood of posted notices with prohibitions. Starting with instructions on the order in which the toilet rolls should be used (yes, this is apparently important...) to "No books allowed here" (?) on a shelf in the wash house, there are quite a few curiosities. By the time you're in the shower, you've already been shown quite a few rules. OK, every sign always has a reason or a story behind it, but that somehow seems exaggerated.

Super family-run campsite
Super family-run campsite, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Our booking worked great, we got a large pitch by the water. We had a rental bathroom, I can only say top.
We were looking forward to the Schäufele in the Klause and were not disappointed.
After storm damage to the awning (a large hole caused by a falling branch), the boss immediately reported it to his insurance company.
That doesn't happen every day.
We will definitely be back

Clean and good pitches, even for large caravans. The biggest shower cubicles I've seen on a campsite :) definitely very clean. You have a beautiful view of the river on which you can also go canoeing and SUB. We had a perfect run with the dog. The owners are very nice and helpful. The restaurant on site can really be recommended - you should order Schäufala in advance :)

Profit maximization, squeeze in what you can
squeezed in
This was our last and most disappointing stop on our 3-week round trip through Germany. Despite our reservation, we were squeezed into the middle row and had no chance of driving out with the camper van. To get to our pitch we had to walk across other pitches. No privacy and profit maximization. We won't be using this site again as we simply didn't feel comfortable.

The place is beautifully situated on a small river.
The staff are very friendly and courteous.
A big plus is that it is also possible to arrive later.

The toilets are... self-contained, which we find very good, so the person next to you can't overhear :)
Most of the pitches for one night are laid out in such a way that you can stand without having to uncouple.
Please observe the access rules, as the entrance is only wide enough for a caravan.
