A very well-kept site, not parceled out, divided into individual areas by high hedges;
Operator friendly, but somewhat taciturn;
Sanitary facilities are somewhat older, but very well maintained;
4 supermarkets within walking distance;
Matrei is a pretty little village with a beautiful town center;
Start of the Vigintal valley from where there are many opportunities to hike up to high alpine pastures and enjoy high alpine experiences

Very friendly reception. Prices are top. Dogs are welcome. We were able to choose the pitch ourselves. Would love to come back.

Pitches on level meadow. Unfortunately no hot water for dishes in the evening. Price for 2 people in a camper van: 32 euros without electricity

honest camping without the frills
Small, honest campsite without a lot of clutter. Pitches partly separated by hedges, partly not divided into plots. No fresh and waste water directly on the pitch, plenty of power points within easy reach. The sanitary facilities are super clean, showers are free. W-Lan in the reception area, but good... mobile internet on the pitch itself, we got an Austrian prepaid card for €10 / 9 GB from the supermarket. Restaurant with sun terrace and pizza menu. Shopping facilities in the immediate vicinity, as well as other restaurants and the village center. Mountain railroad 5 minutes, great hiking and climbing area. The owner is always friendly and helpful, but not a chatterbox. If you ask he is happy to give you information, if not rather not. This was our 2nd time at the campsite and we will definitely be back.

Wonderful place in beautiful nature
We used the site on our trip south and were thrilled! The registration was straightforward and there was the option of a trailer. Well-kept lawns and green areas throughout the site, clean sanitary facilities, friendly owner and tasty food in the restaurant. And a fantastic mountain backdrop! On the return journey we were looking forward to another stopover and will definitely be back - for a longer stay!
