We came on the weekend of the Gerardmer triathlon without knowing it, so the campsite was not accessible before 6pm, we were not warned, a little email doesn't cost much, and the next day it was impossible to leave the campsite after 8.15am until the end of the races at 6pm !!!!! Still no information!... And the worst thing wasn't the .....l pitiful state of the sanitary facilities, dilapidation doesn't mean dirtiness! 3 out of 5 pissoirs clogged! Garbage garbage cans full of disgusting sanitary towels and so on! As for the welcome and friendliness, we'll have to pass! In short, it's a real shame because the site is superb - a real mess!

Wonderfully quiet at night. Walking distance to the city center. Always free places, even at the end of August.
Negatīvais
Sanitary facilities are very outdated and not cleaned often enough. The fees have to be paid in advance at the beginning of the stay. English is offered but not spoken. Pitches near the lake run full of water during heavy rain.
Neglected in a beautiful location
The site is in need of renovation and the sanitary facilities would be acceptable if they were kept clean. In return there is the fantastic landscape of the High Vosges.

Great place by the lake
Very friendly staff, great location right on the lake, beautiful town within walking distance, delicious baquette. It makes you sad when time passes so quickly.

We had a mobile home on the campsite. This is not located directly on the campsite by the lake, but on the other side of the road. The mobile home was very clean and comfortable, with plenty of space and everything you need. As we had our own shower and toilet, I can't say much about the sanitary facilities,... but I couldn't find anything negative when I looked through the door.... The campsite itself doesn't have a beach (unfortunately it's not quite clear on the internet or on the homepage!!!) but in 2 minutes you can reach a sunbathing lawn with a kiosk. There are some very nice hiking and walking opportunities right outside the door - we (and the dog who was allowed to come along) really liked this. Beautiful paths, great scenery!!!! The lake itself can be circumnavigated in just under 2 hours. Shopping facilities in the town can be reached on foot in about 15-20 minutes, by car in 5-8 minutes. There is a small restaurant (snack bar) on the campsite itself where you can also pre-order baguettes and croissants for breakfast. The staff here are not very friendly but it's OK. The reception staff are very friendly and nice. Another plus point for us is that you also feel very welcome as a dog owner!!!! So all in all (even if we were unlucky with the weather) an absolutely recommendable place.....

Located directly on the lake but no beach, no opportunity to lie down or relax in peace. The site is right on the road and was very noisy overall. Many pitches have no shade and are very cramped. You have to get on well with your tent neighbor to feel reasonably comfortable. The sanitary facilities are... old and there is only one building with showers and toilets on the whole site. The thing that bothered us the most was the lack of facilities at the lake. We will definitely not come here again.

Beautiful camping site right on the lake with great pitches right on the water, all pitches are spacious, the lake water is clean and simply a dream, the sanitary facilities are not new, but always clean and completely adequate! The kiosk has great baguettes for breakfast, but the waiters are pretty... unfriendly (you have to stand over them); but all the staff at the registration desk are all the friendlier!!! The place is completely quiet near the lake, beautiful view of Géradmer, on foot in about 20min along the lake to the city. There is a market on Thursdays and Saturdays!
