"Nice campsite with restrictions - Beautifully situated campsite. With a barn where there is always an event. The restaurant, well. Food wasn't that great. Musty salad. Although we pointed it out, it was ignored. No replacement, discount or other concession. So there was no tip either. Therefore unfortunately not recommended. Still a great place overall. The staff are helpful and nice. Just one small but. We were there before the national holiday and everything was great. Then came the long weekend and there were lots of C campers (corona campers) who behaved accordingly. The sanitary facilities weren't so clean, although the cleaners went through several times a day. There are always people who behave quite badly. It would be nice if people left the toilets and showers as clean as they found them. It's not the operator's fault, but every camper should take a good look at themselves. When the campsite is full to capacity, there are too few toilets and showers at the back of the site. In my opinion, another thing that is not so great is that there is a small space in front of the men's toilet opposite the washbasin for disposing of the chemical toilet, which could have been done differently during construction or planning. About the pitch: Partly very small plots and sloping pitches, every cm is used (cuddle camping). With a larger caravan you have problems parking it, let alone accommodating the vehicle on the pitch. We will come back at some point, but only if the site is not fully booked. The site plan on the internet should also be revised, the layout of the sleeping barrels and mobile homes is no longer up to date.

"Actually a perfect campsite - The campsite is a top place due to its location, the Bannwaldsee, the royal castles with Schwangau and Füssen. Super layout, very clean, modern sanitary facilities, catering with farmers' market with the best regional bread rolls and sausages and everything else you need. The automatic cleaning machine for the chemical toilet deserves special mention - simple and perfect.

"Super! - Beautiful campsite! The reception was very warm and professional - you immediately feel welcome. However, we were particularly impressed by the sanitary facilities: absolutely clean, modern and very well maintained. The showers are spacious, the water is always hot and everything looks new and hygienic. It really is a pleasure to use these facilities! A perfect place to relax - we'll definitely be back! 🌟

"Completely overcrowded, very restless and overpriced place - A very restless and overpriced place that is completely overcrowded in the high season. We found the announcements of events up to 4 times a day, which were then stuttered together, very annoying. The road noise from the adjacent highway can be heard very clearly. There is nothing for children either, apart from a small playground outside the campsite and an entertainment tent. There are no showers at the lake. Staff at the farmers' market/reception very unfriendly Insufficient number of toilets in the rear area, in the morning you have to queue or walk the long way to the main building. Toilets were always clean Wifi and telephone connection sometimes poor or not possible at all. Prices for 2 adults + 1 child €68/day + electricity are not justified Overall, a beautifully located place that is designed to maximize profits and has the charm of a freeway service area.

"Any time again - If you book early for the high season, you can also get the pitch you want. The pitches are big enough if you stand and set up properly! The service with the pallets for bad weather is great! Of course you have to pay for them (€4/pallet + €2/pallet deposit) but I think that's ok - better than having a wet awning floor all the time! And if guests think they can just take the pallets without paying, we think that's cheeky. Then everyone is surprised when this service is no longer offered! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic. The Stadl and the restaurant are highly recommended! The food was great and freshly prepared. Cleanliness in the sanitary facilities was impeccable at all times! We were thrilled and will definitely be back!!!

"Very dissatisfied - The restaurant (Stadel) is a disaster, spontaneous visit (food) hardly possible, wanted to eat twice and twice there was nothing left. How can you (in Bavaria) only make knuckle of pork to order and then without any information! If you don't feel like it, then you should leave it alone!

Our campsite 5 ***** Bannwaldsee is located directly on Lake Bannwaldsee in the beautiful Ostallgäu region, close to Schwangau and the world-famous royal castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. Here you can experience a wonderful holiday atmosphere with our exclusive pitches …for motorhomes. The pitches have fresh water and waste water connections, supply pillars and a 16-ampere power connection. They are approx. 6 metres wide and approx. 8 to 10 metres long. There is a supply and disposal station on the campsite and the pitches are floodlit. Our guests have free access to the bathing beach and the lake, free use of our sanitary facilities (showers/WC), use of CamperClean, access to the restaurant, Bannwaldsee-Stadl with pizzeria and to the shopping facilities in the main building. Free W-LAN is available throughout the campsite. The children's washing paradise in the main building is fully catered to the needs of children. Whether in summer or winter - your holiday wishes will come true in our beautiful Ostallgäu landscape. Your four-legged friends are also very welcome here. You can plan your activities and excursions from here. Explore the beautiful surroundings by bike or on foot. Swim in the Bannwaldsee or in one of the crystal-clear mountain lakes. Climb an Allgäu mountain peak, admire the fantastic mountain panorama or spend a cosy evening in a mountain hut. Children especially love it here, because there is always something going on. With our extensive leisure programme and childcare (in summer), the little ones will never get bored. We look forward to your visit!
