"beautiful location - The campground was very busy, yet the noise level was pleasantly low. The campsites are very well shaded by many trees, though they’re quite small and narrow. Our medium-sized RV barely fit lengthwise. The restrooms are a bit older, but still okay. The campground is right on the lake and has two good restaurants. You can also easily walk to other restaurants along the promenade.

"Camping right on the lake - Depending on the campsite, the proximity to the water is ideal. The beautiful promenade, with several restaurants, is within walking distance. Showers and free beach chairs are available on the beach. The restrooms are cleaned regularly. Friendly, German-speaking staff at the front desk. Electricity and water available at the site. Restaurant on-site with a good selection of food. There’s also an ATM, an ice cream shop, and a small convenience store. Bread rolls available by advance order only. There’s a small supermarket in town. A large shopping center is about a 20-minute bike ride away. The lake is heavily infested with algae (extreme odor). One of the restroom buildings is outdated (central location). A waste disposal facility at the end of the campground; access is by card only. Bike paths are one-way only and, in some places, very natural. Small pool where swim caps are required, located right next to the road. Not for those seeking peace and quiet.

"Overwhelming space - This is the 3rd time we've stayed here, always only for 1-2 nights. It's quite good for this. You can get to Feriolo on foot via the promenade. The site itself is well looked after and some of the staff are friendly. The sanitary facilities are very good and clean by Italian standards. The pitches are large, but have the character of a parking space. The adjacent road is very annoying, depending on where you are. Now in October there were only a few pitches available. Most of them were already cordoned off. Still recommended for an overnight stay.

"Solid - Well-kept place, Feriolo nearby, but small and without tourist features. Trenino to Baveno good.

"Pleasant, manageable campsite directly on Lake Maggiore - Pleasant, manageable campsite directly on Lake Maggiore. Beautiful sandy beach, clean and shallow, suitable for children. Additional pool and entertainment for the little ones. Sufficiently large pitches, easy access. Very friendly staff at reception. Pleasant atmosphere. Sanitary facilities quite basic and reasonably clean (not enough for the size of the pitch) Restaurant not recommendable; unfriendly, food was not good. Small store with the essentials. There is a small A&O supermarket nearby: very well stocked, friendly service and good prices, Feriolo is a nice little town on the lake, with a few restaurants and bars. The cycle path to the nearest towns is typically Italian: only for the brave! Boat trips to the surrounding markets and to the Borromean Islands almost daily. There is a great supermarket with agricultural products (Cooparative) and a well-stocked camping store within walking distance. Conclusion: a really recommendable CP.

"Very nice place. Always happy to return. - We received a very friendly welcome. It was easy to upgrade to the front row. We felt very comfortable on the pitch right from the start. We would love to come back. Highly recommended

Apraksts

Profils

The Orchidea campsite is located in a picturesque bay on Lake Maggiore and covers a generous area of 45,000 square metres. Surrounded by idyllic nature, the site offers a calm and relaxed atmosphere that is particularly ideal for families. The …gently sloping sandy beach is perfect for small children, while the swimming pool, with a separate adult area and a children's area with two slides and whirlpool beds, offers plenty of relaxation and fun for all ages. At just 3 km from Baveno, 7 km from Stresa, 8 km from Verbania and just 35 km from the Swiss border at Ticino, Camping Orchidea is perfectly located for exploring the Lake Maggiore area. The campsite offers spacious pitches, which are between 70 and 80 m² in size, some of which are in the shade and all of which have a 6-amp electricity supply. The pitches by the lake and in the lake area also have a direct drinking water supply. The standard pitches cover an area of 70 m², while the extra-standard pitches offer even more space at 80 m². All pitches offer lawns, parking within the grounds, full Wi-Fi coverage and a free camper service. The basic pitch price always includes 2 persons, 1 car and 1 tent or caravan or 1 camper van, as well as electricity and, where available, drinking water supply directly at the pitch, and Wi-Fi access for the entire duration of your stay. Additional fees apply for an extra parking space, a mooring for boats (buoys or pier), additional tents or bringing dogs. Culinary delights are provided by two catering outlets: the restaurant, pizzeria and bar ‘Al vecchio caneto’ and ‘Canneto on the beach’, located right on the beach. The campsite offers a wide range of entertainment during the day and evening for children aged between 4 and 12 in collaboration with ‘Sound Good Animation’. There are fitness programmes on the beach and in the swimming pool for adult guests. Entertainment is available in the high season. The Orchidea campsite combines nature, relaxation and leisure in one of the most beautiful regions of Lake Maggiore.
