Outrageous price
Actually a nice, simple campsite: right on the Danube, close to the old town, quiet, under old trees.
Decent facilities. Good for travelers passing through due to its proximity to the freeway, but therefore also very busy. However, the price of €69.90 for one night on a standard pitch
with 2 people, car and caravan is simply outrageous!

No restaurant
Well, ok for one night
It's a shame about this beautiful place ... the restaurant is closed, the sanitary facilities are clean but really outdated, you don't feel comfortable here.
As we only stayed overnight, I can't imagine how anyone would want to stay here any longer. The staff at reception were very friendly.
Unfortunately,... the place was not my cup of tea.
The ground doesn't seem to be ideal when it rains, as there was a lot of open, cohesive ground. We were lucky with our pitch (no.3), the neighboring pitch had a large mud hole.
I don't think the electrical boxes are quite up to the standards of the time.
The whole thing then actually at a ***** price :-(
CONCLUSION: It may be fine for one night, but unfortunately not more.

Very nice welcome at reception and good briefing. The access to the pitches is sometimes very narrow, the pitch itself was flat and absolutely ok in terms of size. The sanitary buildings are no longer the newest, but were always clean. Bread roll service is also good, only on departure it gets tight... if you still want to have breakfast, because you can only pick up the rolls at 09:00 and you have to leave at 10:00.
But the location is absolutely top, directly on the Danube you can go for a nice walk and there are also nice swimming spots. You can get to the city center quickly by bus (bus stop right in front of the site).

Good connection to the city via the Danube cycle path and public transport. Facility as such is beautiful. Sanitary and shower already older but clean and technically flawless.

The subsoil consists of flood loam from the Danube. Some pitches are somewhat paved with stones. At least 50% are very difficult to use after a few rainy days. The camper van goes haywire and can only be moved with additional help. The lame dirt is also carried into the vehicle.
In principle good but pitch surface catastrophic in places
The location and connections to the city are ideal. Regensburg offers an extensive cultural and sightseeing program. The site offers a good starting point for a program lasting several days. Caution is advised for campers. On 50% of the pitches, superficial clay is a very problematic surface after a few days of rain. Additional assistance is often required to drive on/off the pitch.

Proximity to the city

Because I was warm, I sat down in the restaurant with my shirt off. The boss told me very rudely that I shouldn't sit in the room like that. I said that I wanted to pay straight away. As no waiter came, I went to the counter, paid and left.
Unfriendly restaurant
There is nothing special to report about this place. The trees and paved paths would be nice.

Location, clean facilities, near river and town of Regensburg

Small and gets full soon. Not a lot of space for tents.
One night
We stayed at the camping for one night on our way north. Gladly we made a reservation because the camp was full in the evening. The location is great, near Regansburg and beside the river. Would recommend.
