- Thomas L.augusztus 2024PozitívumokVery nice quiet location in the middle of the forest with a very pleasant, dammed forest lake, which invites you to swim and SUP. Very friendly and helpful reception staffNegatívumokCleanliness of the sanitary facilities. A lot of wasps, allegedly for the first time.Very nicely located place with some compromisesA great pity. The cleaning of the sanitary facilities was unfortunately very irregular and far too infrequent. Sometimes only every 2nd or 3rd day, which meant that the toilet paper kept running out. When cleaning was done, it was often in the morning at peak times. We were told that unfortunately no... staff could be found and that the janitor service from Weiden was unreliable. The toilet paper dilemma was tried to be solved by the reception staff themselves. Hopefully a solution will be found soon as the permanent campers have also been very dissatisfied for some time and their complaints have so far been unsuccessful. This state of affairs ruins the otherwise very good overall impression, especially as you can expect more for the price here.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Melli B.május 2024PozitívumokPeace, view of the lake, nature, good restaurant, beautiful lake, great for hiking, great playgroundNegatívumokNo bread rolls or other shopping facilities in the immediate vicinity Shower very expensiveBeautiful lake viewWe've already been here twice and would love to come again. We like the lake and the fact that you can walk around it. You also have a nice view of the lake due to the terrace location. The wash houses are also okay, but the shower time is charged directly according to consumption. If you have long hair,... you can leave a fortune there. The restaurant serves delicious food and ice cream.
If we had children, they would love the really great playground.Automatikusan lefordítva. - Jan A.július 2023PozitívumokVery nice location on a quiet lakeNegatívumokRemote and absolutely no catering on siteAbsolutely unsuitable for individual travelers!Because the reception is unmanned, it's okay to register by phone. But the fact that there is only a closed restaurant and a locked kiosk on site at 5.30 p.m. during a good summer bathing season is not acceptable.
Instead, the closed office window informs you of the number of households that have been... supplied with electricity in today's sunshine.
A great comfort for the exhausted guest!
No drinks machine, no coffee machine, no tables for self-catering = simply nothing! Open restaurants or supermarkets are miles away. By car a piece of cake, by bike without a motor and already on the road all day, impossible.
After a restless night, because the bright site lighting gives the impression that the tent is on a soccer pitch during an international match, you have to wait until 9 o'clock the next morning, because that's when the reception opens for the overpriced billing...
Only the location and tranquillity by the lake is worth the trip.Automatikusan lefordítva. - Axel C.július 2023PozitívumokScenic location, friendly telephone registration. Clean sanitary facilities.NegatívumokContrary to the claim that there is a water tap every 30 meters, there is only one drinking water point in each of three sanitary buildings located far apart. The same applies to the disposal of toilet waste and gray water. This is only possible if you are physically fit. Staff are only in reception between 9am and 11am. The price is not reasonable for these facilities. There is a lot of room for improvement . . .You should stick to the truth when describing the facilities and thus save travelers time and disappointment. Don't buy a pig in a poke.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Herr W.július 2022Pozitívumokquiet little going on cleanNegatívumokno bread roll service no store toilet paper empty free wifi is like no wifi Showers have to be paid extra, not OK with the pitch pricestoo expensive for the servicesfor me too much money for little performance
if you want to have it a bit quieter, this is the right place.
But the people at the city council should check their price structure, or do they want nobody to come? Who knows....Automatikusan lefordítva. - Otto W.szeptember 2021PozitívumokEverything superNegatívumokDid not existGladly againAnyone traveling in the northern Upper Palatinate should make a stop here! The new restaurant is also great.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Bernhard M.szeptember 2020PozitívumokPirate ship and super playground for children, lake where you don't have to pay for swimmingNegatívumokNext supermarket a bit far away but nobody can help itThe best place for childrenVery nice and quiet place. Also for the children. Everything is also super clean. However, you should be a bit mobile, because shopping is further away.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Ullrich A.július 2020PozitívumokIdeal for hikers and swimmers. Castle ruins and concentration camp memorial in the immediate vicinity. Camping club on the site, happy to help.NegatívumokWash houses unfortunately a bit cramped.Hidden cute placeI don't normally write that much, but I have to expand a little on this pitch. My CEE extension was faulty and I asked at reception if they could help me. Unfortunately, the nice young man didn't have anything, but referred us to a Mr. Markelstorfer, who is also a camper on the site. He lent me his extension... without hesitation and invited me for half a beer. He told me that he is the chairman of the camping association that is active on the site. According to him, the site was only rebuilt three years ago, after it was already under discussion for closure. However, the association, together with the municipality, managed to save the site after all. Since then, the municipality has also been running the square and the association helps with maintenance and upkeep. As the restaurant was not open during our stay, they have organized a kiosk together with other associations from the village, which is run by the members on a voluntary basis. During a tour, Mr. Markelstorfer also showed me many projects on the site that were initiated by volunteers (e.g. flowering meadow for bees). You rarely find such solidarity on a campsite and we were really impressed.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Nathalie H.június 2019PozitívumokSuitable for transit or longer staysNegatívumokUnfortunately, our restaurant was not openFor transit and longer staysDiscovered the place by chance when visiting the concentration camp memorial. Stayed for 2 days but want to come back this year.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Christine O.június 2019PozitívumokQuiet location. Close to the forest. Children's playground. Swimming possibility. Circular trail around the Gaisweiher.NegatívumokNo restaurant. No bread roll service. No or difficult to reach shopping facilities.New sanitary facilities, no restaurantUnfortunately, the restaurant is closed and the kiosk is only open on weekend afternoons. Bus connection to the neighboring village exhausting as a bus only returns four hours later. Nice play area for small children. Reception only manned for a short time each day. No bread roll service.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Volker F.augusztus 2018PozitívumokBeautiful and quiet location, great and new sanitary facilities, lake right next to the campsite, friendly and helpful staffNegatívumokReception not continuously manned, but on-call telephone availableGreat camping site after renovationBeautiful, quiet and newly renovated campsite. According to the reception, the site now belongs to the municipality of Flossenbürg, which has invested several million euros. It now has completely new sanitary buildings, a new bathing area and a children's play area. The pitches are all within 150 meters of the lake. There is also a restaurant on site where you can order bread rolls in advance.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Gabi P.augusztus 2018Quiet campsiteThe place is very quiet. Sanitary facilities very old, a modernization would be appropriate. A small kiosk would not be bad either. The staff in the restaurant is overwhelmed and incompetent. The young man at the campsite reception is very nice 👍Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Sa M.április 2018Pozitívumokbeautifully situated on the lake, forests very suitable for walks and excursionsNegatívumokConstruction site, defective sanitary building, long distances, 90 % permanent camperswas once a nice CPwe were there for the first time 10 years ago and it was such a lovely campsite. Now you're lucky if you can get a pitch with a view of the water because everything is full of permanent campers. We only found a pitch right next to a sanitary building - which didn't bother us at all. However, this building... was out of order, which the groundsman told us after 2 hours of setting up. The next building was two floors further down and really far away - even for an adult. It makes sense why another sanitary building was put there. The buildings could only be opened with a card - which of course we didn't have yet. but there could also be a possibility for vacationers who have just arrived. You can get used to taking the card with you, but in our case the card was deactivated one day too early. apparently this is done via PC and in the evening you could neither shower nor go to the toilet or anything else. It would be okay for one person alone, but for three people with a child. Nobody was available, so bad luck. Luckily we were able to borrow the map from Nchabarn. but do you want that? well... The landscape is very beautiful, you can take great walks around the lake and through the woods. You can also see Flossenbürg Castle very well.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Achim K.augusztus 2017PozitívumokSwimming lake with a great water playground.NegatívumokCyclists may be bothered by the one hundred meters in altitude that you have to climb if you want to get to Flossenbürg.Location on a beautiful lake with a new playgroundThe large water playground was redesigned in 2017. The green areas were not quite finished in August 2017. The restaurant on site was closed on Mondays, but otherwise offered good home cooking and a beautiful spot above the lake.Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Thorsten G.szeptember 2016PozitívumokGreat location, lots of nature and peace, beautiful lake.NegatívumokA place without any infrastructure, completely run-down and expensive.Dying swanSuper nice location. Great lake, lots of nature, extremely quiet. But the site - apart from the fact that 4/5 of it is occupied by permanent campers: it has been used for 30 years or more. And without anyone apparently having reinvested a single cent. The asphalt paths are completely dilapidated (be... careful on your bike! Numerous potholes and lots of gravel and grit are potentially dangerous). The original 70s sanitary facilities. The shower technology, toilets, all in a deplorable state. One of two sanitary buildings was locked. There were therefore just two showers (for the men) available in the remaining building for the entire site. Also as it was back then: there is no store on site, no kiosk, nothing where you could at least buy a few small items. The nearest supermarket is 3 km away (including a steep hill). A "penalty fee" of a hefty 2.50 euros per night is charged for dogs, without there being even the slightest service in return: no dog beach (normal beach forbidden for dogs), no dog playground, no dog shower or not even a stand with poop bags - nada. And all of this for prices that are quite high in relation to the region. What a pity...Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Alfred E. N.augusztus 2015PozitívumokVery scenic, clean toiletsNegatívumokExpensive, cold showers, loveless place, hardly any gastronomy nearby, nobody is interested in polite criticism,Scenic place for a lot of money with little performanceBasically, the question is what the core requirements are for a campsite. First and foremost, for me as a person who travels a lot, this is basically a toilet and a shower, which I look for on the campsite, otherwise I can also sleep in my car in the forest, which is perfectly legal. Now I'm paying €20.25... a day for two people to park on a piece of dried up grass (including a waste disposal fee of €2.50, of which everything with the green dot has already been paid for by me via the dual system). Well, the toilets are clean, now I want to take a shower, but showering costs another €1 per three minutes...? 1. i can't do it in three minutes 2. the water is COLD and doesn't get warm for at least the first three minutes. 3. why have I already paid €20.25 if I'm not allowed to use the infrastructure? I feel ripped off by something like this, especially as the site has nothing else to offer for the money. The lake can also be used as it is, the restaurant is so dilapidated that the very nice, young "tenant" serves outside tables from his private kitchen in "emergency operation". And if you express your displeasure to the receptionist of this community campsite in a friendly and really very reserved manner, you can still listen to stupid remarks. Otherwise, the area is completely dead in terms of gastronomy and tourism (apart from the "memorial concentration camp" financed by Polish victims' associations). If you dare to get hungry on a Sunday, you'll have to make do with Murphy's Presssackbrozeitsuperoberpfalzschmankerl or drive 30km to the nearest restaurant in Neustadt an der Waldnaab. The next Zoigl is only 10km away in Floß. Dear concentration camp community of Flossenbürg, how about a little performance for your money. Please don't forget that a double room is available a few villages away for €30 without breakfast, but with a room, bed with bed linen, shower (without the concentration camp feeling) and with fresh towels, windows with curtains and usually even your own washbasin (also with hot water). I can't recommend this campsite despite its beautiful location, which is a real shame. However, despite the cleanliness of the toilets, the performance in the core task of a campsite is not fulfilled and the higher tasks have apparently been completely neglected for 35 years (renovation status estimated on the basis of the design). Even the very short reception times reflect this. Even the silver-haired regular campers only hint at the charm of past golden times. Surprisingly, despite a weathered beach volleyball net and a mini golf course in red Uniprimer design, the campsite is completely child-free (despite the summer vacations in Bavaria). This makes it ideal for older couples with an increased need for peace and quiet and satellite TV. (and of course the aforementioned cold water resistance)Automatikusan lefordítva.
- Sandra B.június 2011Aged site with flair - terraced sanitary facilities in "retro style" but clean and tidy - coin-operated showers - restaurant with home-style cooking - very tasty! Bread roll service - mini golf on site - beach volleyball - swimming lake (water trampoline in summer) Also perfect for winter camping (small... ski lift approx. 300m away) - cross-country skiing center Silberhütte Shopping facilities in the village approx. 1 km, next larger village approx. 15 kmAutomatikusan lefordítva.
