Very warm in the sanitary building! Although there are many offers for children, but here is really cashed up. No waste water on the new pitches. There are muddy puddles at the water taps. Fortunately it didn't rain here. Cassette toilets can only be emptied free of charge at one site (at reception), long distances. Further emptying machines at the campsite "chargeable (2€)".Light and shadowThere is a lot on offer on the course that is recommended for families with children.
But all activities are chargeable!!!
The site has probably grown too quickly and the infrastructure has fallen by the wayside. The site operators themselves are probably not experienced in camping.
In and of itself... a very nice place, but it's the little things that are simply annoying.
Too few toilets and showers, too warm in the sanitary building (air conditioning doesn't work and you can't open the windows either (you walk into a wall when you go into the building)
Some of the showers do not drain. There are no partitions in the showers, so clothes get wet when showering. No shelf, only hooks in the shower.

The gastronomy is sufficient and varied, from the beach bar to the lakeside pub. The modern and clean sanitary... building and the friendly, helpful staff deserve special praise. The night's rest is respected, which ensures a good night's sleep. One criticism is that in the high season there are occasional waiting times in busy areas (e.g. toilets). Overall, a very quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The possibilities with children (we had 6-12) are almost inexhaustible,

Air conditioning was not on at the time. Waste water on site would be great or a possibility of chemical toilet except at the reception would be great, as the distances can be very long.Ascension with friendsThe campsite is well equipped, family-friendly and there is something for everyone.
The children could ride ponies, make stick bread and ride pedal karts.
There is SUPing on the lake, a wake park with live music and good drinks.

In general, it would be a good idea to provide more shade. There is shade at the beach bar, but the children should please play at the Kidsbeach and of course there is no shade there. That's a real shame.Shadow wantedIt really is a good place for a vacation with children. Apart from the lack of shady spots, there is nothing to complain about.

Otherwise, the campsite has lost its charm in the last year. The prices for the children's activities have risen and in our opinion are no longer justified. The new wash house is still very nice, but the cleanliness has deteriorated. This was our 4th time at... the Mohrenhof for Halloween.
The Seekneipe was not open daily as usual during the fall vacation week. However, this was not announced on the homepage. So on the day of arrival we couldn't eat at the campsite as planned, but had to go out again by car and find something first.
As we were traveling with 4 families, we had a lot of fun. And the atmosphere at Halloeeen is really special. But in 2025 we will try out a different campsite. The pitch prices and the prices for the rental properties are now too high for the fact that the campsite is in the middle of the countryside, i.e. somewhere in the middle of nowhere. We won't be treating ourselves to this again. For the money, we prefer the location on Lake Garda with its far better infrastructure and Italian flair.
We've always loved staying at the Mohrenhof, but at some point the pain threshold is reached. As we wanted to go away at the beginning of October, we were looking for a campsite for children with indoor play facilities. The Mohrenhof offers this with its play barn. Unfortunately, this is completely unsuitable for children under the age... of 4/5, which is why we were only able to spend a short time there.
The large playground by the lake also only has a baby swing for the little ones, but that was it.
The alpacas and ponies are cute, but as you can only spend 1 hour a day with the animals for free, the activities here are also limited. Of course, breaks are also important for the animals!

The site makes a tidy and well-kept impression. The registration and also
check-out is totally uncomplicated. One positive thing that stands out is the good atmosphere on the whole site. Many families with happy... children characterize the picture. I really like that. Also the friendliness of the staff. However, the pitches are far too small for a campsite of this category. 50-60 square meters is simply not enough. You stand caravan to caravan. The water taps are impractical and sometimes very basic. The toilets/showers are clean at first glance, but only very superficially cleaned in the corners. And that in the low season. The showers are spacious and you had hot water even late at night. Top! The lighting on the paths is clearly insufficient, which is not without danger at night. There is no store where you can eat during the day. Bread roll service only from 8-10 am. What a pity. A great place for families. Too expensive and not comfortable enough for couples. But because of the friendliness and the loving design, I give it 4 stars. Actually more like 3 stars. We won't be coming back. Price increases within 3 yearsGreat untapped potentialWe have been to this site 3 times. The last time, all participants agreed not to visit this site again. The main reason is the discontinuation of the ACSI card. With the discount the price was ok, without the discount the site is too expensive for us. Yes, you can do a lot on site (weather permitting),... but it all costs extra and sometimes quite a lot. The new wash house is super clean, but some of the showers are broken or the jets are blocked. Toilet disposal is available at the NW and SE ends (reception). Classic emptying is only possible at the reception. The camper cleaners at the roundels take money, but they didn't clean. There is also no gray water disposal at the roundels.
