"Beautifully clouded stay - I had found the place via Instagram and my expectations were very high.the reception at the reception was polite, detailed but a bit stiff.our pitch was as desired in partial shade and very large.the guidelines on how you can stand with your vehicles irritated us at first because we don't know this at all.we couldn't find these guidelines on the website either.we stuck to them and then quickly realized that the view into the open air, greenery and mountains was really very pleasant and relaxing.we were positively surprised. We had a pavilion with us with a floor that we couldn't attach to the stones because the ground was too stony/hard. We had to slide a bit into the meadow. I had also indicated this when making the reservation by email and at reception when checking in and it was approved; we also saw tents and pavilions with a floor on other pitches and then didn't give it any more thought. 2 days before our departure, an employee came cycling up and told us quite brusquely that this was not allowed because otherwise the grass would turn yellow and that wouldn't be nice for the next pitch. I explained that I had clarified this twice and that there were others on the lawns here too, but he stood firm and I asked him if we could leave it until the day after tomorrow because we were leaving then, to which he grumpily agreed and cycled away. I was left with a very uncomfortable feeling and would have liked to leave straight away. i also got angry because I was transparent and was still reprimanded. we also had no chance to change anything because the ground was too hard to turn a screw into the ground. I certainly don't want to argue on vacation. Overall, the place was very nice, the Saalach is fantastic. Unfortunately, this situation tarnished our picture.

"Pleasure camping on the Saalach - Incredibly professional, nice and courteous, friendly staff. Very nice contact starting from the booking, on arrival, during the entire stay until departure, is always a unique experience. The whole complex is very organized, clean and well maintained. The sanitary facilities are also always spotlessly clean, pleasantly flooded with light, very well ventilated, spacious and bright bathrooms and completely in order. Respect! The pitches are nicely sized and sensibly structured. In winter we use the ski bus from the ski room at the campsite to the Loferer Almwelt valley station, and we also like the wellness area, massages and sauna for après-ski. We are not very spoiled when it comes to food and get by with the restaurant on site, but we also like real Austrian cuisine in the village. Or from our own fire or barbecue. We love the upper pitches by the river, the peace and quiet without the usual noise and barking, and relaxing with an aperitif or two to the gentle sound of the Saalach. Everything is actually great, including the electricity and water columns on the pitches. Only the planning and design of the gray water drains on the V&E columns are not in the spirit of the inventor. Too bad. 4 out of 5 points. What a pity! Maybe it will be, at some point. "Space by the water is top - The campsite is beautifully situated on the Saalach. Many of the facilities are new. Everything works. We had a wonderful pitch right by the river with a 10m meadow in front of it. The direction of the caravan is predetermined. This resulted in a relatively strong lean of the caravan on our pitch, which had to be compensated for.

"Review - You get the idea that there is a lot of profit to be made. Also the settlement on the day of departure is disappointing. Have been with you for the wasserfall hike and the schluchten, but will not return. I missed a pool

Camping Grubhof is the top campsite in the Alps, located in the province of Salzburg in the heart of Austria. Its stunning location in the middle of an Alpine natural landscape, generous space and an extensive range of additional services, …including wellness, fitness, ultra-modern sanitary facilities, leisure and active facilities and a restaurant, are what make Camping Grubhof so unique. Here you can experience a camping holiday with plenty of space and magnificent views. Camping Grubhof in the Salzburg region is a quiet campsite on the banks of the Saalach river, which impresses with its dreamlike location and spaciousness. The wide range of different pitches and rental accommodation – from XXL pitches, to XXL tent meadows, camping huts, an Alpine village with rustic Alpine huts, to rooms at Grubhof – offers the perfect holiday home for unforgettable holidays in Austria at any time of year. Pitches are equipped with electricity, water and sewage connections (most also have a gas connection in winter). When choosing camping accommodation, we recommend that families consider our six camping cottages as a possible addition to their caravan or tent space, in addition to our great XXL pitches. There are also three Alpine huts in the Alpine village at Grubhof for a rustic holiday in the Salzburg region. Above all, a successful camping holiday for families and children includes a child-friendly range of indoor and outdoor activities and plenty of things to do and see for the whole family. You will find children's playrooms in the main building of the campsite, a youth room with table tennis, table football, family showers in the sanitary facilities, baby baths and nappy-changing rooms. We don't offer round-the-clock entertainment, but see our main focus as opening up the holiday environment and the wide range of sports and leisure activities to you. At our campsite with sauna and wellness, you can enjoy the soothing warmth of our sauna landscape. Unwind in the saunas, steam bath and heat cabins while camping with sauna pleasure. Dogs are welcome, but they must be kept on a leash at all times on the entire campsite!
