Apart from the one experience, everything was perfect.
I find it unfortunate when the camper is cleaned with foaming detergent on a non-fixed pitch. The camper is washed with a hose and scrubbing brush, not just cleaned with a bucket.

Stay in October 2025
I have been to your place several times. Time and again, I have noticed a lack of garbage cans on the site. There are many dog owners who have to take their pets' waste either to the woods or to the garbage dump. 2 more garbage cans at corners of the site would be very helpful.
I also noticed this year... that the initial equipment box has less and less content. There used to be a brush and a mop. With dogs in the fall, a scouring pad is very useful. Perhaps we should reconsider this.

Hello,
The whole vacation was mega, except for wifi connections. That is a disaster. I paid €19 for a week for nothing, hotline
Called also brought nothing, not even money back :-(
Conclusion: Very nice houses, cozy and spacious. Keep your hands off the wifi.

It would be good to provide more hooks in the shower cubicles, a hook on the door is not enough.
Perhaps also a shelf at chest height at the front of the cubicle for storing glasses, keys and so on.
You should also think about a shelf in the shower for shower foam, hair wash, etc.
It's not nice that... the entire cabin is flooded when showering, even though you use the start/stop function. Everything is wet, seat board, shoes, cosmetic bag etc..
The drains in the showers are partially blocked, the drain in one shower was only cleared after I pointed out to the sanitary staff that it affected all showers.
When you enter the sanitary building, you immediately notice a bad smell.

A few more garbage cans would be appropriate. This is not about normal waste disposal.
The one bin in the forest for dog waste is not sufficient.
In addition, during our entire vacation there was only 1 refill with poop bags at the appropriate container.

The entrance and exit by bike only on the right side in the direction of the access road to the area is somewhat dangerous for cyclists, considering that this is also a sidewalk, pedestrians suddenly stop in this narrow area and block everything.
It is impossible for cyclists with trailers to avoid the lawn on the right.

The arrival zone should be better signposted. The signs are too small when driving past. We also only recognized the area later. Larger signs would be appropriate, then the arriving caravans and WOMOs would not partially block the footpath and cycle path.

This should not be a negative criticism, the stay was very nice, we had a good rest and will definitely come back again, especially since I have been coming to Boltenhagen every 2 years for over 20 years.
We will also be looking at another place from the rainbow camp group.

Unfortunately not recommended
The hygienic conditions and the dilapidated furniture in House 66 were actually unacceptable. We were very disappointed with what we were expected to do this year.
It was definitely not an exclusive house. I hope you take our complaint seriously and if you do, you should actually pay us back the price... difference to a standard house. And that's not even counting the overall condition.
The bathroom had massive black mold on the lower tile joints and a very dirty toilet. The window could not be opened without the sash coming towards us. It smelled very musty even though we always had the window open due to the mold.
The walls in the bedroom were smeared with indefinable dirt and there were small brown lumps hanging from the ceiling.
The kitchen is a simple kitchenette like we remember from our beginnings at Rainbow Camp. So 15 years ago. Old electrical appliances, the extractor filter was brown, the cupboard doors were loose and the fridge was missing 2 shelves and the door compartments were broken out. So we could hardly store our food to be cooled in the fridge. The waste garbage can in the kitchen cupboard no longer had a lid. The dishwasher could not be opened at the same time as the base unit as there was not enough space for it. The flap for the rinse aid was broken and the dishes didn't get clean. We always had to rinse.
In the attic room, a whole drawer was missing from the chest of drawers. The front of another one didn't hold.
Before we arrived we asked for a house without bunk beds as we were traveling with our 4 adult children. Last year, the bunk bed was dismantled and fitted into the room. Unfortunately this didn't work this year. When we asked again, a technician came to dismantle it for us, but not across the corner but side by side and our adult children had 20 cm to get into the bed. There were screws sticking out of the wood on the terrace.
Overall, the accommodation was not clean and I had to clean it again. The furniture and floor were unpleasantly dirty.
We have been going to Regenbogen Camp Boltenhagen for 15 years, sometimes twice a year, but it got worse every year. Once we had a house that deserved the description exclusive house. So we know what it can look like. But apparently we got the reject. Actually, we should have been refunded the entire price of the trip. Recovery was not.
If you would like photos, please let me know. I have documented the whole thing.
I hope you can find a conciliatory solution for us.
I reported the shortcomings on arrival and again on departure and the ladies at reception made a note of everything and told me to contact the head office and fill in this questionnaire.
I would appreciate a reply as soon as possible

Why not?
In conclusion, I can say that my wife, our dog and I enjoyed our stay at your campsite and we would love to come back. It is also worth an extended weekend.

Definitely not premium, absolutely exorbitant price
I paid almost €400 for 5 nights. I just wanted to see for myself whether the place was as "premium" as advertised. Clear answer: no. All the wash houses are an imposition, hot water is a rarity! The showers are cramped and dark. My pitch looks more like a field than a meadow. The reception and the general... ambience are very nice, but I don't pay to enter the reception once, I pay for the sanitary facilities and a nice pitch. I've now driven to the area near Grömitz, where a night costs me €32 and the pitch is truly premium.

Motorhome
We have a comfort pitch L, pay a lot of money for it and cannot drain gray water. It is impossible to dismantle everything every time to empty the motorhome. That is not a comfort for me. There simply has to be a way to rent hoses for a fee to be able to drain the gray water.

Poor sanitary building, too expensive overall
BOSHOS
Area D is not recommended for campers with dogs. Very dark due to the high edge of the forest with very tall poplars. The individual pitches are not well laid out in terms of ground conditions. When it rains, the water collects in deep puddles and mud. The wash house 1 in this area is absolutely not... up to standard: toilet doors open inwards, which is very unpleasant in such small cabins, the drains in the showers do not do enough, so that you stand in a lot of dirty water when showering. There are also too few hooks for hanging clothes in the shower cubicles and the floor in the entire sanitary building is almost always wet and slippery, the air is musty. All in all a no-go.
The other two wash houses made a better impression, as did the pitches at the front and center of the site.
If a separate dog area is designated, more dog bags and garbage cans should be placed nearby.
The proximity to the beach and the center of Boltenhagen with nice restaurants and events is commendable.
Overall, just under 100 euros per night for 2 people with a dog is completely excessive. For this price you would expect different facilities.

Very outdated and not practical.
Hello.
The garbage bin stinks and is not emptied regularly. One yellow garbage can is not enough. Overfilled every day.
Bathrooms not modern and impractical. Far too narrow and dark.
One shower room modern and great with the children's bathroom.
However, too small. More children's bathrooms desirable... in each shower house.
Other large shower house smells disgusting and it was written about in a review a year ago and apparently it doesn't matter - it hasn't been done in anything.

The restaurants are nice and the reception too but that's the only thing.
No water connection and no waste water at any pitch. And waste water (the one silver barrel) is also catastrophic!
Washbasins outdated and getting on in years.
Entire facility outdated and entrance or driveway is a disaster. Vacationers constantly obstruct each other on the much too narrow path.
Loveless entrance area and not practical.
Suggestion: wide entrance and crosswalk twice as wide.
Caravans and motorhomes arriving early are in the way.
There is a QR code but you can't check in with it.
The playhouses and entire playground is outdated and not maintained.
People from the rainbow camp were all consistently friendly but the people on the site mostly unfriendly. But that's down to the personalities themselves

Just invest more in the entire facility.
The location is so beautiful and so is Boltenhagen!
Why don't you do more there?

Take examples from all the campsites in Holland. Everything there is child-friendly, modern and up to date! With your prices, you should invest a little more and not just cash in.

Price-performance ratio does not fit
Not really due to the price-performance ratio.
Unfortunately, I think it's a bit much to pay around €90 a day for cold shower water and that you feel like you're in a "sardine tin" on your pitch. In addition, waste water could not be used on the pitch as the water unfortunately does not flow up the mountain.... Due to the difference in height between the caravan and the drain, the water didn't run off. Perhaps the height ratio between the pitch and the drain should be reconsidered. I also think the washrooms should be cleaned more than once a day in high season. At least the sanitary building 1 which was close to our pitch. For these reasons, I don't think the price-performance ratio is right and would expect hot water for showers at this price and that the e.g. waste water is usable. Otherwise you can also book another pitch that is not called comfort and save money.

Baltic Sea vacation
A new floor was laid in a washhouse but the toilets were not raised. I would convert it into a children's washroom. Shower water was cold in washroom 1 on 4 days. Too few waste garbage cans on the pitch. Otherwise everything clean and very friendly staff. The camping restaurant was terrible in taste and price but the staff were also very friendly.

Poor and price/performance ratio not coherent
There is an investment backlog on your entire site, the price / performance ratio is not guaranteed at any point, the pitches look unkempt, very high grass everywhere, the parking situation in front of wash house 3, permanent campers park there the entire period; your sanitary facilities are dirty, unclean,... simply not okay for the prices you charge, your cleaning is also catastrophic, the floor in the washing-up area has not been cleaned in the entire period, the surfaces have indeed been cleaned very superficially. Your cleaning interval of the sanitary facilities is also definitely wrong, in the morning (or at night) 4.30 and then again in the afternoon 15.30/16.30 - that's really not nice, we were just glad that the facility was not fully booked or well attended - although you had initially given us a rejection by mail because of your booking??? Incidentally, your cleaning staff are extremely unfriendly !!!! The tech. The technical condition of your sanitary facilities is also borderline in the long run - MEN'S AREA: 2 out of 5 showers DEFECTIVE in the entire period, an information sign had been hanging there since May; in the ladies' area as well and a shower cubicle door is so jammed that even a child got locked in there unintentionally and only came out with loud cries for help, which we heard on our pitch and with the help of my wife!!!

We also found their disposal of gray water or chemical toilets to be very unclean and absolutely out of date -

We also found the entire program on your site disappointing under the impression that we are actually already in season according to the calendar.

The site is poorly lit or not lit at all in the dark.

Your overnight pitch in front of the barrier is also in a very poor state of maintenance - we also spent one night here;

Well, we also found your service staff at the reception to be rather unfriendly and stressful, we did not feel welcome; example: we only asked on the morning of 27.06.2025 when we could enter the facility - the answer was totally annoyed and bossy .... before 2 pm not possibly try from 12 pm; on our question how we proceed with our accompanying convertible - here we have to call up an additional fee of 5 € per day - we also felt that this was not really service customer-oriented. A further question on our part whether we can now wait with our motorhome in the designated parking lot - we were told - no - you can drive to Netto there are parking spaces, as the spaces would have to be kept free for check-in - well we wanted to check in and if this is only possible from 12 or 14, we don't bother there. No was replied again. We drove to NETTO and came back at 12 ... o'clock and were then able to check in . However, during our stay we realized that the parking ban was not valid for everyone, in the course of the next 3 days Fri, Sat, Sun a car was parked there all the time !!!!

Conclusion for us: We are very disappointed with this camping vacation (on the road for more than 25 years) - rarely have we spent our time so badly; we also did not receive an explanation of the breakdown of our bill.

A tip: Your marketing manager or internet admin and designer should spend some vacation or time on your site.

In this sense, we remain with kind regards in the hope that you will take on your tasks for the next vacationers a nice, great and eventful time.

Rental bathroom is not cleaned during the rental period there is no toilet paper it is never cleaned and for 19 euros per day so really disappointed by the price. Wouldn't be a problem to put toilet paper and some cleaning material in the cupboard. So for 19 euros you expect something better. Water cold when showering hardly warm water also extremely exhausting. Program in high season disappointing. We as a family have often been here in Boltenhagen but the resort is deteriorating more and more. Price performance is not justified.

Rainbow Camp Boltenhagen
We had a very nice pitch again. However, the sanitary facilities are a bit older and in need of renovation. There was also a lack of functionality at times.
