Positiivsed
A magnificent location on the cliffs, a peaceful spot, and breathtaking sunsets and sunrises. Cruise ships always make for great photo opportunities.
Negatiivsed
I’m sorry to say that the Förde Hiking Trail is closed between Neustein and Stein due to the collapse of the cliffs. However, you can still walk along the beach. The shallow-water shoreline is ideal for children. Personally, I prefer to swim in deep water right away, which is why I usually bike to Stein (1.5 km).
A beautiful campground on the cliffs
I’ve been a long-term camper here for many years and feel completely at home here. Because of other commitments, I can only visit sporadically. But whenever I do, it’s always a wonderful little getaway.
The campground is lovingly, warmly, and conscientiously managed and maintained by the Brandts. They... and everyone else are always helpful; Holger, the owner’s right-hand man, and Jürgen, who can be reached even at night in an emergency, have helped me out many times. I can’t comment on the food, since I cook for myself. However, I’ve often eaten pizza and other dishes with guests at the campground next door; I’ve also enjoyed tarte flambée and other popular dishes at “Tatort Stein.”
In Laboe, just 2 km away, there are plenty of great restaurants and events. Kiteboarding courses and much more are also offered in Laboe and Stein. Laboe and the surrounding area have a lot more to offer—please Google it for details.
It’s best to come here as a vacationer first and then become a long-term camper, since it’s much more affordable. That way, you can also plan your stays based on the weather, which is a benefit in Schleswig-Holstein that shouldn’t be underestimated.

Dream place on the Baltic Sea
The operators are super nice. After checking in, we were met at the pitch and given instructions. That was a great help, because you don't know the wind direction. We had a great view of the sea. The pitch is on a cliff. You can get to the beach via a staircase. There are 2 wash houses, the smaller of... which is not heated. Everything is super clean and well maintained. Bread rolls can be purchased on the neighboring pitch,
less than a 5-minute walk away.
There is a restaurant on the site where the food tastes very good and the prices are reasonable. There is also a snack bar on the neighboring square where you can quickly get something to eat. You can get to Laboe on foot in 20 minutes and by bike in 5 minutes. There are great cycle paths towards Kiel and to Schöneberg beach right by the sea. We are thrilled.
It was very quiet on the pitch. Dogs are not allowed, which we found very good.
We will definitely be back.

Weather was not always nice, but we had nice days! Good starting point for excursions to Kiel (harbor tour), Laboe (naval memorial), ostrich farm in Hohenfelde (Baltic Sea view), etc. Shopping in Laboe (Aldi / Edeka) about 5 minutes by car or about 15 minutes by bike.

CP Neustein again and again
As always, the vacation was too short, here on the CP Neustein it is pure relaxation. The staff are friendly and unobtrusive, there is a small restaurant on site and you can get bread rolls on the neighboring site. Laboe and the surrounding area also have a lot to offer. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful place in a great location with a unique view. Well maintained and plenty of space. Sanitary facilities are clean, although there are a few toilets and showers. So get out early, then everything is free.

Very nice and helpful staff, very well-kept clean campsite, clean sanitary facilities, some of the pitches are relatively small. However, we felt very comfortable during our 1 week stay.

Super place. Nice people, great views and when the weather is good you can take your children to the beach where they can dig on the sandbanks. Important: 5 KM/h on the pitch, if you drive faster you will run.

fantastic sunsets clean place
Quiet place with great sea view
The campsite is in a quiet location and offers a great view of the fjord. Both the sanitary facilities and the entire site are very clean. All facilities are bundled in the sanitary building, washing up, washing and disposal. We always receive a friendly welcome and like to come back every year, the booking process is very straightforward. The campsite invites you to spend relaxed evenings in good company.

Easter weekend
The pitch by the water is really good. Direct view of the Baltic Sea and the fjord. The campsite is on the steep coast. The toilet house would have to be modernized. The toilets, the washroom and the showers were in one room and that was not really nice. The tone of the operators was not appropriate

Negatiivsed
Bad toilets, promised space size is not correct.
The system is as it was in 1965.
First row pitches no water and sewage. San building 2 no heating, toilet and shower are not separated, outrageous. Definitely not 4*, at best 2 *. The only good thing is the view. There are much better 4 * facilities. I can only recommend the pitch because of the good view in the front row, provided you get a large one, because even here there are differences to be expected. All in all, the site is in need of a major renovation.

We spent our vacation from 06.07.1914 to 25.07.2014 on this super beautiful campsite. The sunrise and sunset are fantastic. We think it's good that dogs are not allowed here and the 2 budgies were not noticed negatively. Everything is clean and regularly checked. Only some campers think that leftover... food in the sink is decoration. We had a lot of fun, also with the nice permanent campers, e.g. Gabi, Achim, Ties, Peter etc. The restaurant "Neusteiner is to be recommended". We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back.

The campsite has a perfect location on the Baltic Sea, you can sit on the cliffs all day and watch the ships. It's not bad for swimming either, with a shallow 100 m into the water. It's ideal for a short vacation because it's not far from Laboe, where you can quickly get to Kiel by boat. Otherwise, the... site is more popular with permanent campers. It's a good place to relax and get a breath of sea air. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities are commendably clean.

We have been permanent campers for 10 years. This has its reason: Optimal panoramic location to the Baltic Sea, sufficient leisure activities in the immediate vicinity (Laboe/Schönberg/Kiel), well-kept facility and atmosphere due to new management. Excellent bathing facilities/restaurants/sanitary facilities. We permanent campers find this site to be the "most beautiful" in the area.

Well-kept, quiet and beautifully situated campsite, which is characterized by permanent campers. The "free" pitches are flat grass areas, sufficiently large and not further separated from each other. The site is part of a row of 2 other campsites that merge into one another. The sanitary facilities are... clean and well maintained. There is a small scullery and a room with a washing machine and dryer. Bread rolls can be ordered in the morning. The site has a small restaurant (I can't comment on the quality). The location directly on the small cliff is the big plus of this campsite. The campsite has a large meadow right on the cliffs. You can sit there in peace and quiet and look out over the fjord. Really very nice. As is often the case with campsites for permanent campers, there are a lot of site rules, but not all of them are followed consistently. So that wasn't a problem for us. You can walk or cycle along the coast directly from the campsite. The section is obviously also very popular with kite surfers and offers good wind conditions. However, we didn't see any kiters on the site itself. I don't think they would really fit in with the older permanent campers. On the other hand, signs on the sanitary buildings indicate that kiters can clean their wetsuits etc. in the outdoor showers. So who knows, maybe there are some there from time to time after all? Laboe can be reached quickly on foot or by bike. From there you can easily take the bus or a steamer to Kiel. All in all, an ideal place to relax and do nothing on the Baltic Sea with a connection to Kiel.

We were looking forward to the good view of the Kiel Fjord and were not disappointed.Swimming with children is ideal from the place although it is located on the cliffs. The beach can be reached via 2 stairs and is very shallow. The place made a well-kept impression. The owner and the staff were very friendly... and helpful. At the reception there is a newspaper and bread service. The pitches in the first 3 rows were a bit too small for some campers and the access a bit narrow. The upper wash house was always clean and well maintained. The lower wash house was not always ok, it is a bit outdated and a bit small.Showers, sinks and toilets are in one room and it is not always pleasant when showerers and toilet users meet.Positive is, however, that dogs are not allowed on the site. For excursions on foot or by bike, the area is ideal! But also in Laboe there is a lot of program and you can quickly reach Kiel by ferry. We were satisfied and will gladly come back.
