We were incredibly lucky with the weather, in this third week of September, and with most of the tourists gone, we were able to enjoy this beautiful region with a little more authenticity and calm.A dream week!Well-equipped, functional and comfortable bungalow. We especially loved the forest in front, the total calm, the feeling of being alone in the world (3rd week of September, that helps). We found the campsite's location ideal for exploring the area, yet isolated from the tourist spots we generally shun.... We didn't get to enjoy the restaurant, closed in September, but never mind, another time! The cleaning is obviously not done, and we were told very curtly on arrival that we would have to leave at 10am (although the website says 11am) to clean up. When we pointed this out, the receptionist who had been a little curt apologized and offered us a bottle of sparkling water and a glass of rosé. You arrived on Monday. Late request to have side by side pitches and you were placed opposite each other. I tried to accommodate you by moving you but you came back saying, I site "your pitches are rotten" (thank you...) so back to the initial... pitches. Monday evening there was a concert and someone came for 5 minutes. The next day, Tuesday, there was a pétanque competition, but you prefer to play in the campsite lanes. Wednesday: magic evening and still no one came. Thursday: sorry, but a huge storm caused a lot of damage, so the evening was cancelled. Friday: astronomy evening, and no one's there yet. Saturday: welcome drink, and again no one saw us. So when you say no entertainment, try to come at the very least. For the restaurant, you rate it 1 out of 10, but you forget to say that you didn't come... As for the 1 out of 10 rating for the region, you're the first to hate the Verdon. Everything is rated 1, so I doubt your objectivity; the rating is designed to systematically destroy. Finally, thank you for coming.
