Camping Du Lac Mercus Ülevaated

A beautiful spot, right next to Mercus Pond, hiking trails, and the town of Foix, steeped in Cathar history. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming; I highly recommend this place for families as well as young people looking for adventure.

The Lac Campground is spacious and in a great location. It’s quiet, and you can enjoy a stunning low-mountain landscape. The managers are very friendly and attentive!

Peaceful, clean, and easily accessible. We rented a small mobile home for 4 nights from May 10 to 14, 2026. Despite the unpredictable weather, we had a nice stay. A pleasant and relaxing setting.

A quiet campground (in April), with well-laid-out campsites and rental units. Obviously, there’s no pool in April, but Mercus is in a great location for quick access to many hiking trails and day trips. The staff was very friendly.

Big problem with the shower faucet: right in the middle of a shower, cold, hot, cold, hot... No property inspection, okay, no security deposit... everything's fine

I highly recommend this campground—it’s excellent. In fact, we stayed an extra night! A warm welcome, clean restrooms, spacious sites—we were delighted with our stay. The private bathroom was top-notch, with nice hot water—nothing to complain about, just excellent! Summer vacation with the family, with a 3-year-old. We camped in a lovely, fairly quiet setting—even though a train runs nearby. That said, it doesn’t run at night, so it didn’t bother us at all. Besides, we’re used to the quiet of the countryside in our daily lives, so if it had been noisy, we wouldn’t have slept a wink a single night. We noticed how clean the campground was, both the green spaces and the facilities. The welcome was simple and warm, with plenty of smiles. We enjoyed the daily bread and pastries service every day. Thank you for this pleasant stay.
