Camping Du Lac Mercus is a small campsite on the banks of Lake Ariège in the French Pyrenees. The well-kept campsite has low-hanging trees that provide shady pitches along the water's edge. You can camp here in peace and quiet, …surrounded by nature. The shallow lake is ideal for water sports and fishing. There are spacious pitches under the low-hanging trees by the Ariège lake, a widening of the river of the same name. They offer plenty of shade on the pitches right on the water, but the pitches on the higher terraces are also shady. On some pitches, you can camp with extra privacy because they are sheltered by hedges. There are about as many camping pitches as there are rental accommodations. A small swimming pool offers you the opportunity to cool off in the water. You can also go swimming in the lake, but it is less suitable for swimming. The bottom is quite muddy and the water is shallow, so you are better off diving into the campsite swimming pool. The swimming pool, with a small paddling pool next to it, is in the sun. An ideal place to get a nice tan. Unfortunately, the lake where the campsite is located is not very suitable for swimming, but water sports enthusiasts have free rein there. You can go sailing and paddling on the water. Canoes and kayaks can be rented near the campsite, but you can also enter the water from the jetty at the campsite. Fishermen will also be thrilled here.
