The restroom facilities are of a really high standard and very clean. There are plenty of restrooms. Our site, G46, is in a pretty good location. Unfortunately, there’s hardly any grass. There’s a lot of sand and forest soil. I suppose that can’t... be helped—nothing really grows under those tall, old trees anyway. Overall, the campground is very secluded, but there’s a shuttle bus to the Pirschenheide train station. Potsdam is easily accessible by bike. We were absolutely thrilled with the campground, the facilities—including the surrounding area—but especially with the excellent Anna Amalia restaurant. The restroom facilities, with their appealing, high-quality, and well-designed... amenities—which were perfectly maintained at all times—impressed us and are likely unmatched at many other campgrounds. The location just outside Potsdam is absolutely ideal; we were able to explore everything comfortably by bike, and from the south exit, you’re immediately on a bike path heading toward Caputh and Werder. We made the right choice in picking this beautiful campground—we highly recommend it. We had a wonderful stay at the Sanssouci Campground. The well-maintained campground is beautifully situated and offers a pleasant, peaceful atmosphere. The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive at all times.
We were particularly impressed by the great location and the proximity to Potsdam... and its many attractions. The restroom facilities were clean and well-maintained, so we felt very comfortable throughout our entire stay. The campground is therefore both an ideal starting point for excursions and a lovely place to relax.
As a small, constructive suggestion, we have two ideas for improvement: Directly behind the fence, a signposted path through the woods could perhaps be established or marked for cyclists and joggers. This might prevent fast cyclists or joggers from riding or running through the campground. This would certainly be beneficial for the safety, peace, and privacy of the guests.
In addition, a clearly visible sign would be helpful for arriving guests who come from the wrong direction. We saw several frustrated guests standing in front of the locked gate. A sign to that effect could provide better guidance and make the journey here easier.
However, these are really just minor suggestions. Overall, the team does a wonderful job, and we felt very comfortable at the Sanssouci Campground.
