There are smoking areas right next to the playground—that’s completely unacceptable.
There are no family shower rooms. That’s a major drawback when I’m there as a man with two little girls.
We were only there for... a short vacation, and there was no information anywhere that the swimming lake was infested with blue-green algae. I wouldn’t recommend this campground to anyone. The campsites are spacious and located in a wooded area on Lake Templin. We stayed in a wine barrel, which also looked very well-maintained. The staff is friendly, and the Anna Amalia restaurant serves excellent food. As for the campsites, we knew it might be a tight fit because of the trees. To give it 5 stars, we’d need a longer stay. The campsites were close together, so there wasn't much privacy. If you rent a canoe, make sure you return it on time; otherwise, you’ll be charged a 25-euro fine (even if there are still plenty of canoes available). Ole esimene! - 5.0DRDaniela R.august 2026PositiivsedCamping sites under tall trees right on the lake, excellent restroom facilities, a good restaurant, a dog-washing area and dog shower, and superbly organizedA hassle-free camping experience by the lake, superbly organizedSince I couldn’t make a reservation through the online portal at the time, the staff helped me out over the phone in a very kind and straightforward manner. The reception staff were also very friendly and professional. Our campsite was more than large enough for our big setup (a 7.50-meter trailer).... Water and electricity were right at the site, and it was just a 1-minute walk to the restroom facilities (all clean and new). No matter where you’re parked, it’s never more than a 2-minute walk to the lake, since the campground stretches along the lakeshore. Dogs are also welcome. There’s even a dog shower and a bag of treats for your four-legged companions. Unfortunately, we couldn’t go swimming or kayaking (which would have been absolutely beautiful there) because there was blue-green algae in the lake at the time.
We can also highly recommend the restaurant. The value for money there is truly excellent, and the food selection and service are very good. Since we were accidentally served the wrong tarte flambée, the correct one was simply brought out to us free of charge. Upon checkout, the operator/owner personally asked us for suggestions on how to improve the campground! You really feel like you’re welcome there. Some sites could be larger, or they should pay closer attention to the type of vehicle guests arrive in.
The on-site amenities were also adequate, with a small playground, a restaurant, a shop,... and activities for the kids. There were enough restroom facilities, though the toilets could have been cleaned more often.
The prices in the shop were also very high, even for a campground.

Whenever something wasn't working, they took care of it right away. During the season, there were various activities for children and, later in the day, for adults as well, such as music, shows, and the beach bar. I didn’t try... the restaurant myself. — If something was ever dirty, it wasn’t the fault of the cleaning crew—whom I almost always saw tending to things somewhere—but rather the vacationers themselves. I thought the dishwashers in the dishwashing kitchens were a definite plus for a campground. In addition, the campground was quiet at night, and access was restricted during nighttime hours, which really helped keep things peaceful. I also really liked the trees, which provided shade throughout the campground. - I had reserved my spot in advance, specifying exactly what I needed, and was given a beautiful plot with plenty of space. - It’s also worth noting the campground’s location, which is within walking distance of the train station (about 1.5 km) and also close to Potsdam itself. The bike paths are very well developed and run right past the campground. A free shuttle service to the train station is offered twice a day.
