"A weekend at the lake! - Overall, our stay at Wällercamp was a mixed experience. The staff throughout the campground were always friendly, helpful, and courteous. The restroom facilities are also modern and clean. However, it would be nice if the windows could be opened all the way instead of just tilted. The restroom building on the beach should be checked more frequently during peak swimming hours, as the floor often gets wet from heavy foot traffic and becomes very slippery as a result. Unfortunately, we weren’t impressed with the terrace campsites. They consist almost entirely of gravel and are separated from one another only by small hedges. On hot summer days, the stones heat up extremely, causing the campsites to become very hot and making it very uncomfortable to stay there. The path to the restroom facility is also not exactly comfortable due to the gravel. Because of the intense heat, some dog owners even drove home before their planned departure. Unfortunately, the dog beach made an unkempt impression on us. Our dog ingested algae there and subsequently developed severe diarrhea, which is why we even had to see a veterinarian. Of course, it cannot be proven with absolute certainty that the algae were the cause, but we would still like to see better maintenance and oversight of the dog beach. One positive aspect worth noting is that a dog shower is available. The swimming lake itself is a very pleasant temperature in the summer—the water is almost bathwater temperature, so really anyone can go in without any problems. Unfortunately, we can’t review the restaurant at the campground because we were unable to reserve a table despite asking. The beach bar, on the other hand, is well-stocked and offers a nice selection. Overall, the campground definitely has its strengths, particularly thanks to the friendly staff and the well-maintained restroom facilities.

"Disappointing from a human perspective—an unfriendly tone spoils the stay - As camping beginners, we were really looking forward to our first trip in a motorhome in June 2026 and had booked an XL campsite. Unfortunately, once we arrived, we were extremely disappointed with both the staff and the service. The campground itself is okay, but the campground manager’s tone was, in our view, absolutely unacceptable. Even when we called to let them know we’d be a little late on Friday evening, we were told in a very brusque tone that they didn’t know if we’d even be allowed onto the campground. On Saturday morning, we were reprimanded in a harsh, commanding tone—without even a “Good morning”—because of where we’d parked the vehicle. When we asked if we could have breakfast first—since the awning was already set up—the campground attendant retorted that it was already a favor that we’d been allowed onto the site at all—which, to us, was an incomprehensible notion of customer service for a paid XL site. Finally, as we were leaving on Sunday, we were told to drive away immediately, while vehicles right behind us were completely ignored. ​Unfortunately, a factual email complaint to management was completely brushed off. In their response, management essentially shifted the blame onto us, dismissed our account as “overdramatized,” and claimed that nothing like this had ever happened there before. Criticism or instructions are perfectly fine, but it’s the tone that matters. When a customer is berated like this for legitimate criticism, it unfortunately shows how little value is placed here on genuine hospitality. We definitely won’t be coming back.

"Restaurant Bernhards - We had a great vacation at the campsite in 2023. Today we just wanted to eat something. We were sent to the outside terrace with the dog. At 8 degrees temperature!!! A radiant heater that wasn't switched on and a single fleece blanket couldn't protect me from the cold and the dog had to lie on the cold concrete slabs. Then we were shown the drinks menu with the remark that the kitchen wouldn't open for almost 2 hours and we could have a drink. Or eat a cake. A continuous opening time was given on the internet. Only 2 tables were occupied in the restaurant. We left the restaurant disappointed and annoyed and then paid 1.50 euros for 7 minutes parking time. This is no way to treat customers. So a bitter disappointment and no more recommendations from us.

"Getting on TV is not everything - We were guests of the Wäller Camp from 22.06.2025 up to and including 25.06.2025. The site design is really great, some with really great large pitches, very individual, we really liked that. The sanitary facilities are new, unfortunately the shower partitions are not pulled to the floor, so that you can get the shower water of the neighbor, which is an absurdity in newly built sanitary facilities! The food in the restaurant is good, the restaurant staff are very friendly and courteous. The supply of food is very limited and the supply of mineral water was basically non-existent. Mineral water was only sold in 0.333 liter bottles, really an absurdity, there was a larger selection of wine and beer. A bread roll service is available, as is a meat and sausage vending machine from a local butcher. The drinks machine next to the pizza machine, which produced some very dark pizzas during our stay, was not refilled for over a day during our stay. The dog run, on the other hand, is outstanding. Another visit is uncertain.

"Pitch - The Womo pitch was fully in order, electricity is taken at a column with a card. In principle, this card is used for everything on the campsite. The credit can be booked back on departure. The sanitary facilities were great, anything that was faulty was repaired immediately. Only the washing machine for the cassette was not so clean, but you can see that however you like. I clean mine manually. Will be back again!

If you're in the mood for a lazy day, just stretch out by the lake and enjoy the quiet – and later, fire up the grill for a relaxed evening. At Wäller Camp, there are plenty of ways to take a break from everyday life. You can set up your camp just the way you like. Whether you're traveling with a tent, caravan or campervan – the nature camping area offers you a place right in the green. The large, non-parcelled community meadow gives you even more space and the chance to connect with fellow travelers. If you're just passing through, the motorhome port is perfect, with easy 24/7 self-check-in and check-out. And soon, there’ll be even more space: 125 new pitches between 100 and 250 square metres are already in development. You won't miss out on comfort either. The new sanitary facilities are modern, clean and practical. Access is controlled with a chip card, and you'll find spacious washbasins with large shelves, a baby changing table, and of course hot showers – no coins needed, everything is charged conveniently via the chip card. As a guest, you can enjoy the lakeside swimming area free of charge. If you’re bringing your dog, they’ll love it too – with their own lake access, off-leash area and even a dog shower. The barbecue area with fire pit and benches right by the water is perfect for a relaxed evening. In the morning, your pre-ordered rolls will be ready for pickup at reception. And when it’s time to do laundry, a spacious, cashless laundry room is available with washing machines, dryers, sinks and everything you need.
