It was an amazing introduction to the lakes area with super easy access to bike trails and the lakes. We tried out the kayak rental on site which was easy and convenient . We caught the train to Aarhus which was also... very straightforward. It is a stunning area and the swimming lakes are so clean and well maintained with amazing facilities. The staff at the camp were so chilled it really helped with creating a relaxed atmosphere. We loved it. Our favourite campsite out of 5 on this trip. Cold beer in reception (always a plus)....
You can walk into Silkeborg mostly along the river, but the last bit is small streets, with some amazing river front houses.
Dog friendly and loads of walking routes, from the campsite.
They have a central area for bands, with BBQ area, small kitchen and fire pit, and loads of seating.
Simply an experience you need to feel.
