A family-friendly campground with plenty of shade. Clean restrooms. The staff is wonderful. The campground is ideally located, just a 15-minute walk from Luz, with plenty of family-friendly and sports-related activities to enjoy.

A quiet campground located at the foot of the mountains. Just a few minutes away from some great hiking trails. The staff is friendly and responsive to requests. Clean restrooms. A very nice stay.

This was our second time at the campground. We were a couple traveling with our teenage daughter and our dog. Everything went very well.

The sites are large

The water wasn't hot enough for washing dishes. I couldn't sleep all night because of a group of about 30 campers (Dutch) who were making noise until 5 a.m. — maybe have someone come by around 1 a.m. to quiet them down, for example.

Wi-Fi, clean restrooms.

For a 3-star campground, there are no bars, restaurants, or food trucks where you can eat or drink. There aren’t enough restrooms—only two “regular” toilets in the central block (not counting the squat toilets). It’s a long way from bakeries and supermarkets; you have to take the Promenade du Bastan, which is at least a 20-minute walk. At check-in, there are no recommendations for hikes in the area, no maps given to tourists—you’re on your own. They just give you your campsite, your badge, and the Wi-Fi password.

Quiet campground, very clean mobile home, mostly shaded, good 5G reception, decent playground. Real roller shades that block out all light—which is rare enough to be worth mentioning. Overall, we recommend this campground.

Do-it-yourself property inspections—well, it’s the same everywhere these days. Don’t be too picky about missing items at check-in—just trust the guest. It could have a small grocery corner with the basics (pasta, oil, etc.). How about adding hooks in the rooms to hang a mosquito net? A swimming pool would really add value to the campground.

The peace and quiet, the cleanliness, and the helpfulness of the staff and campground. Well-located and close to our hiking trails. In short, the perfect combination for a relaxing getaway from work

Just to mention something: the gate remotes are a little finicky. And a small sign indicating whether the water is safe to drink would be a nice little extra.

Thank you for your always warm welcome! A quiet and pleasant campground. And as always, beautiful scenery and sites to visit near the campground, which is in a great location. It’s always such a pleasure. A week went by way too fast! All the best, and give my parents a hug!

A few years ago, a vendor used to come to the campground to sell Basque cakes and, if I remember correctly, run a small mobile rotisserie. I noticed that this year there was only the bread and pastries stand. That’s a shame!

Camping ideal, tranquilo y muy bien ubicado

We were lucky enough to be able to make a same-day reservation. The village is really close by, and the location is ideal.

The only minor downside is the proximity of the cables from the small power plant next door, but there wasn't much you could do about that.

We highly recommend this place (Le Hounta), located in a very pretty region with plenty of beautiful scenery to explore. The owners were incredibly friendly, and the campground was beautiful, clean, and quiet—we had a wonderful vacation there. If we were to come back, we’d definitely stay at this campground again.
