Camp Menina Comentarios

The owner is very close to his guests, greets everyone personally, and goes out of his way to ensure their comfort. The campground’s concept—with its natural campsites and the many activities offered by the Menina Fun Park—feels very authentic. There’s something for everyone. From children’s games to live music for the adults. The restroom facilities are somewhat “rustic,” but very well maintained and always clean. The lake on the campground and the river behind it are great for cooling off. It’s worth bringing your SUP. In the afternoon, there’s a stand selling fresh fruits and vegetables (tip: watermelon with fresh limes). About 50 meters down the road, there’s a bakery with fresh rolls and bread. The campground’s restaurant is highly recommended and stands out for its excellent selection of dishes. The pizzas are absolutely delicious.

Depending on where you park, the drinking water station might be a little farther away. So don't forget your watering can. Other than that, there's nothing to complain about.

Rest period

It doesn't get boring, but it's not the typical noisy place with constant animation and too much going on. In the middle of nature and important for us it is clean and you are welcomed with open hands.

It would be nice if there was a small grocery store in the immediate vicinity.

Slovenia is a fantastic country that is very versatile, camp Menina is a good base to discover it.

Crowded, noisy, there was no consideration for evening silence. Make sure to let campers know that there is no shouting or loud talking at the campsite after 10:00 pm. This was also the reason we ended our vacation early. There were drunk camping guests talking loudly until late (02:30 am).

It is a lively campground. Free activities for children:ghost tour, sponge fight, bingo, soccer tournament. Paid activities, climbing forest, canyoning, River tubing , hiking, bikes to rent etc.... All this in a beautiful green environment and friendly people.

A surprising campsite. Things like toilet and shower are special, but mostly clean and basic. Here camping is brought back to basics. Nothing glamping, just a great place in the woods. Jumping off the riser with your swimming basket? No problem! Building a dam in the river? Fine! The shared air cushion under the cable car above the lake? Go your horrible way!!! This is where kids (and parents) can really play for once. "Yes we have wifi, but you won t miss it" It hits the nail on the head. Keep up the good work!!!

Maybe waste buckets on the ladies' toilets, I'm sure that will save your staff a lot of dirty work regarding blockages.......

Riser at the water needs to be made, rope sometimes got stuck causing children to fall too early.

The campground is very nicely set up, matching the surroundings. Old plumbing but very well kept clean and always hot water. Very friendly staff who all speak good English. Involved and hardworking owner. Delicious pizzas in the restaurant! And lots to do for children (playground, climbing course, soccer, river etc)

The swimming lake is fun for the kids to play, but a little less fun for adults to swim.

Lots to do, beautifully located in the greenery, super cool fun park through the campground.

It seems to be a Dutch village; we would prefer to see a mix of nationalities but you have no control over that.

Bit of lighting on the trails wouldn't hurt. Trails are very loose,stones,need to be fixed I think
