"Simple and good - Has the essentials a camper needs. There was free choice of pitch and in the evening a friendly employee collected the fee. Sanitary facilities in order.

" - Spacious pitch that also accommodates our large US motorhome. Super location. We had no problem finding a nice pitch during the vacation period during the week. Recommendation: As the Icelanders usually arrive between 19:00 and 20:30 in our experience and the pitch allocation works on a "first come, first serve" basis, it is advisable to look for a pitch earlier. Only 1500W electricity.

Ásbyrgi campsite. At the entrance of the National Park by road 85. Camping, tents, caravans, toilets, showers, electric hook up, washing machine and playground. Beautiful scenery, lot of nice hikes and walking routes in the area. Vesturdalur campsite. Inside the …National Park, 13 km from Ásbyrgi. Beautiful but primitive camping, tents, toilets. Many good hiking routes in the area. Opens in beginning of June and closes in beginning of September.
