"Very good camping ideally located - Ideal for visiting the beautiful city of Metz A very well maintained campsite. Good facilities, also sufficient for the size of the campsite. From the campsite it is a 5 min walk to the city center. The reception is very friendly and helpful. Reserving a spot, well in advance, was arranged in no time.n

"Great city campsite - The place is great. Booking is an advantage as it is often full. Some pitches have to cope with slopes and there is no barrier to the fast-flowing Moselle!

"Very narrow access road - Pure stress on arrival: narrow access road, the exit of a camper van site is right next to the barrier, guests of the swimming pool park their cars - and everyone wants to move around somehow. That's why security is on hand. Staff only speak French. No hedges or bushes to divide the plots. Actually a good location, but we didn't like the CP

"Light and lots of shade - No member of staff could or would deign to speak English or any language other than French with guests. I often translated for older guests. Only suitable to a limited extent for cyclists with tents, as no sockets are provided to charge batteries/mobile phones. Quite expensive (but normal as a city campsite). Old sanitary facilities. Rarely clean. Lots of shade due to many trees. Seating for campers. Close to the city center. Beautifully situated, directly on the Moselle (ATTENTION: strong current, very dangerous for children). Metz is very beautiful and geared towards tourism. At the same time, people "traditionally" look enviously and sometimes frustratedly at the economically stronger Saarbrücken ("the" Germans). I find it strange that the municipality is not making more of an effort to attract tourist-friendly, cosmopolitan, educated staff to its campsite.

"Beautifully situated place with a grotty wash house - We stayed at the campsite with a caravan for 2 nights at the end of July/beginning of August. The approach is a bit narrow. We received a friendly welcome from the ladies at the registration desk and were allocated a pitch. The location of the campsite directly on the Moselle is very nice. The pitches are very spacious and the town center is about a 15-minute walk away. Unfortunately, the wash houses were so dirty and spartan that they were more like a restroom at a highway rest stop. The showers are also not recommended! The supposed restaurant on the site is not inviting and looks more like an old snack bar. Conclusion: The square is a great place to visit the city of Metz, but you should definitely avoid the restaurant and wash houses on the square!
