"If you're looking for peace and quiet, this isn't the place for you - Unfortunately, very disappointing—not suitable for those seeking peace and quiet If you’re looking for peace and relaxation, this is unfortunately not the place for you. It was very noisy on the grounds all day long because the children were screaming from morning till night. Particularly bothersome was the extremely loud fan in the women’s restroom in Building 2—so loud that you actually come out with a ringing in your ears. In my opinion, there are far too few showers for the number of guests. Furthermore, it’s nearly impossible to clean them properly, since the water and dirt from your own stall flows directly into the neighbor’s. In the evenings, long lines form in front of the shower facilities. After waiting about 20 minutes, we still didn’t have a plug or any hot water available. In the evenings, fire pits are lit all over the campground. This makes it nearly impossible to sleep with the windows open, as there’s a constant smell of smoke. The advertised private access to the river sounds nice at first, but in practice it’s rather disappointing. While there is access, you have to cross a bridge to get there, and you end up right in the middle of mass tourism. I don’t even want to imagine what it’s like there during peak season. You can stand in the river, but in our opinion, it’s not really suitable for proper swimming. The waterfall is about 5 km away. The dining options on site are also very limited. There are no snacks or proper meals—just prepackaged goods and breakfast rolls. The nearest restaurant is about 2 km away. We actually wanted to use our stay to explore the surrounding area by bike. However, in our view, that’s very difficult there and even dangerous in some places. There are hardly any bike paths or sidewalks, so you have to ride on the road, where cars sometimes drive very fast. A car even grazed my elbow. Unfortunately, you can’t rely on the bus either.

"June 2026 - A very nice campground, hassle-free booking, free choice of campsites, a reception area with a small grocery selection, and clean restroom facilities. Swimming is possible in the Soca River; in summer, the water temperature is 8–10 degrees. We decided against swimming and went hiking instead. The campground is an ideal starting point for that.

"Idyllic but too remote for us - The first impression was beautiful, the landscape is great, but as city dwellers we quickly reached our limits. Surrounded by mountains that are enchanting, the options for those who are barely hikers and non-cyclists were very limited. But that's apparently the way it is in the mountains, you're a bit cut off (we're more sea vacationers). The sun came over the mountains quite late, it disappeared quickly in the afternoon and it was correspondingly chilly in September. The Soca was 10 degrees, but my husband bathed in it almost every day. The groundsman was very serious and distant, but you hardly need him. The bread rolls were fresh and tasty early on. The restaurant is very cozy, but we didn't try the pizzas (unfortunately there's nothing else to eat). Unfortunately, you have to drive a long way to the nearest grocery store in Bovec. The approach to Soca is from 2 sides over passes (not recommended for caravans, we only read about it afterwards), so you would actually have to travel via Italy if you are traveling with a trailer.

"Beautifully situated campsite on the Soca - The campsite is very large and located directly on the Soca. A suspension bridge crosses the Soca at the campsite. Locals and tourists bathe here, which can get crowded during the day. The campsite itself is a large meadow, without pitches, so that you can get a little closer to each other (intentionally or unintentionally). There is a small bar with pizza service on site. You can also get bread and rolls and some cold cuts here. We were there over a weekend in July and it was quite crowded. Nevertheless, the atmosphere was relaxed. Waste separation is a top priority - as it is throughout Slovenia. The neighboring town of Bovec is only a few kilometers from the campsite, and a cable car ride up Kanin (2,200 m) is highly recommended on hot days - there is still some snow there. Of course you can also climb up ;-) Otherwise, the surrounding area offers something for every hiking enthusiast and the large Soca troughs are right next to the campsite - an incredible natural spectacle.

"Everything you could wish for - Very nice, well-kept CP without pitches, the free choice of location is only limited by the length of the power cables brought along... Modern sanitary facilities and always clean. Bread roll service at the camp. Great, varied clientele: campers, caravanners, car campers, tent campers, cyclists, .... there is a place for everyone quiet location, the Soca right next to the camp great hiking area

"3 beautiful camping days - We were there for 3 nights. Our pitch was in a very nice location with a view of the Soca. The sanitary facilities were adequate and very clean. We were also able to watch the World Cup final while enjoying a delicious pizza. A very nice campsite. The Soca is very impressive and ice-cold. We will be back!
