"large camping - I stayed a. purple of nights in a tent pitch without electricity. that area is not quite flat although the slope is acceptable I just forgot my chocks

"Beautifully located, friendly and clean. - The site is beautifully situated above the cliffs of Hastings and is huge. Some pitches are gravel, the majority are on grass. As a camper for one night, however, the pitches are very close together, for whatever reason... The sanitary facilities are not the newest, but are always clean and tidy. From the parking lot in front, a pretty footpath leads to the East Hill Lift, which takes you down (and back up) for 2.70 pounds. However, a cab is recommended for the way back (6 pounds) because the bus stops at the bottom of the hill and the path is very steep. I deduct the fifth star because we had to stand like sardines for 30 pounds for one night.

"high recreational value - Generously laid out site with - at least in the front area - very clean sanitary facilities. Plenty of pitches! Not exactly cheap (not even a member of a camping club), but WLan - contrary to what was announced - free of charge. Small store with "basic camper supplies", but actually never fresh bread (was always re-baked on request) Restaurant with the usual "pub food offer". We used the site as a starting point for many (motorhome) excursions into the hinterland and never had any problems with access (drive carefully) (width: 2.35 m without mirrors).

"In the countryside near Hastings - Nice place. Nice reception. Swimming pool for a fee. WiFi free of charge ;-) Hastings within walking distance. Cliff walk within walking distance. Lots of nature. Situated on a hill. Bread roll service. Highly recommend the Battle of Hastings with audio tour.

"Gladly again - This is our first English campsite so far, so we have no direct comparison. The site is well maintained, the sanitary facilities are always very clean, the pitches are large enough and have grass or, for an extra charge, gravel. We received a friendly welcome and always felt like welcome guests during our stay. There are no catering facilities, but there is a restaurant in the nearby Holidaypark. The site is situated on a hill on the outskirts of Hastings, the access road is relatively narrow and steep, but also suitable for larger caravans and mobile homes (be sure to follow the signs). A nature park with plenty of hiking trails to the coast starts directly at the campsite. However, you should have all-terrain shoes and joints, as there are steep descents in all directions. We can recommend the site without reservation if you are interested in nature and peace and quiet, and as a base camp for excursions by car. However, if you want to leave the site frequently with a larger motorhome, we would advise against it due to the access road.

"PLACE IN THE GREEN - Beautiful, very quiet site above Hastings. Large, parceled out pitches, good, clean sanit. Facilities, staff very friendly. Access with barrier, only with code. Contrary to information in the ACSI guide > W-Lan on campsite subject to charge, £3/day. Ideal for visiting Hastings, Eastbourne etc., as there are many stores and Alfiston. Navigation and signs lead directly to the campsite via Barley Ln. This road is very narrow in the lower part, max. 2.1m and not passable for motorhomes and caravans. Access is possible as follows: From A259 change to Harald Rd and from there turn into Gurth Rd, which is very steep at the end. At the end of this road turn left, shortly afterwards it joins Barlye Ln, from there straight on to the campsite.

Wunderschön gelegen auf einem Hügel am Stadtrand. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, es gibt ein Restaurant/Bar (mit Meerblick) und Brötchenservice. Es gibt sowohl Wiesen- als auch Kiesstellflächen, viele davon mit Stromanschlüssen. Die Zeltplätze (mit etwas Schatten) gruppieren sich um die …Wohnmobilstellplätze. Großer aber sehr ruhiger Platz. Wunderbar zum Entspannen und um Hastings und Umgebung zu erkunden. Sanitäranlagen gepflegt, aber in die Jahre gekommen. Man kann den Indoor-Pool von Holiday Park mitbenutzen, es gibt einen Spielplatz und von Campingplatz aus kann man Wandern und Radfahren. Hastings hat einiges zu bieten: Aquarium, Museen, Steinstrände und tolle Aussichten auf die Klippen. Ein wunderschöner Ausgangspunkt für viele tolle Touren. Eine Bushaltestelle befindet sich unweit vom Campingplatz Richtung Hastings Zentrum.
