"Once and never again! - We arrived at the campsite at around 6pm. When we checked in, the owner (an older gentleman) told us to just find a pitch ourselves - he was too convenient to assign us one. After we had pitched our tent by the Rhine, he came by about 30 minutes later and told us very angrily that the tents would have to be removed in any case. When we asked him why we couldn't stay there, he responded rudely: "There's no discussion, I'm the owner - or you'll be banned!" (around 7 pm). As we were in the weaker position, we had to take down our tent and pitch it again in the spot he had assigned to us. He could have shown us this when we checked in, then all the trouble would have been avoided. Conclusion: Never again for us! Very unfriendly, comfortable and authoritarian in tone. We can only advise everyone: Make sure you are shown the pitch directly, otherwise there is a risk of unnecessary stress. From our point of view an absolute cheek!

"Beware of fraudsters - Attention, cheating when reading electricity, sanitary old and bad, shower 2 € per use, places shady, on old meadow with trees, for places on the Rhine are charged extra 18, - € per day

"Never again - Attention: insist on seeing the electricity meter reading yourself, we experienced yesterday that the lady read it, allegedly 4 KW for one night, we then looked it up ourselves, it was 0.4...........I don't want to judge whether this is simply stupidity or a deliberate rip-off. We didn't have to pay anything, which speaks for itself!

"Overpriced campsite in a good location - The campsite is overpriced, the sanitary buildings are outdated but clean, albeit unheated. Showers cost 2 euros extra. The nearest town can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes. Restaurants and wine tasting stands are in the immediate vicinity. You can enjoy a direct view of the Rhine for an extra charge and cycling and hiking trails lead right past the campsite. Aircraft noise!

"We have never experienced anything like this before - We clearly advise against a visit here! Whoever gave this place an operating license was either blind or had big pockets. It is clear that the electrics must be specially protected near the Rhine, but it is life-threatening like this. Old armature tubes without fuses with CEE plugs tied to them are sticking out of the ground, about 30 cm long. As no one had mowed the lawn here for many weeks, they were barely visible. Then the operators demanded 2€ Kw/h and since we only wanted to stay one day we accepted this (a fridge in the caravan never uses this in 14 hours of presence) we were made to believe when we checked out that we had used 4 KW and since we only wanted to leave we reluctantly paid and left. So if you want or have to go to this site, get on the ladder and document the initial meter reading. We will buy an external meter as a result of this experience. In all the years since we have been traveling, we have NEVER experienced that the disposal of the chemical toilets is located directly in the sanitary rooms. The sanitary facilities are very old and the fittings, including the shower heads, are broken. Final remark: someone was looking for a new tenant here and nobody wanted to do it and so Eastern Europeans opened a "beer garden" and they don't care about the rest! Never again....
