"well camping - horrible camping. And yet they charge separately for hot water... but if you want to do the Trolltunga you have to go through it

"There is everything you need to spend the night and travel onward - The cost per night is 250 nok. The campsite is located in the town of Odda, which is not far (20 kilometers) from the Troll's Tongue. This means that there are a lot of tourists there. We arrived in the evening and with difficulty, but still found a place for a tent. To our place we could not park the car, we left it in the parking lot of the camping. So for more comfortable accommodation in this camping site it is better to arrive early. In addition to tent sites, there are rooms on the campground. The campsite is basically spacious. There is a main building with a shower (paid, 20 nok for 5 min), toilets and a kitchen. The kitchen is small and there were a lot of campers in it. So many that I didn't even see what was in there. Also there is free wi-fi. And there's also a lot of information about Troll Language at the front desk: bus schedules, prices for parking lots and stuff like that. There's nothing grand about this campground. There is everything you need to spend the night and move on.

"Rip-off in the shadow of the Trolltunga - July 2, 2018 Note on the guide price here in the app: We paid € 33,- for a 6m-WoMo + electricity and 2 persons. Showers € 2.20 extra per person and shower. Completely overcrowded site; and I haven't lost count: 2 showers; only 2 (!) dishwashers with lukewarm water; we had to queue everywhere. If you don't want to hike up the Trolltunga: avoid this place.

"Beautiful location - Starting point for hikes to the glacier (Buerbreen), Trolltunga. Always very full in the evening, very small kitchen, too few toilets and showers, but NOK 20 for showering and NOK 10 for washing up. Staff not very friendly.

"Paramedics and kitchen horrible, overpriced - Kitchen far too small, 10 NOK for hot water for washing up. Constantly occupied by the many youths and rumbling. Sanitary facilities patched together and without concept, not sufficient. Showers 20 NOK. Poor value for money, reception quite unfriendly.

Profile

Odda camping has a beautiful location by the lake Sandvinsvatnet, and the end moraine that is next to the camping ground is the recreation area of the locals. The camping site is close to “the valley of the waterfalls” and …Folgefonna glacier is in the side valley that starts by the lake. There are several hiking routes up to the glacier. One glacier arm, Buerbreen, lies about 5-6 km from the camping ground, and most of our tourists visit Buerbreen. Glacier guides offer guided tour on the Buer glacier. Trolltunga (Troll tongue) is a famous rock formation in the mountains of Odda and is also worth visiting. Its situated only 12 km from the campsite. Groceries, snacks and souvenirs in the campingsite shop. Hot rolls for sale every morning.
