"Very unfriendly - We arrived at the campsite on July 20, 2015 at 9 pm on the first day of our trip to the UK and were unfortunately turned away very unfriendly with the reason that the place was full. However, we could see that there was still enough space. As a result, we unfortunately only found a noisy parking lot on a highway.

"VERY FRIENDLY STUFF - Friday afternoon, Bank Holiday Weekend, rain, campsite fully booked...but they do their best to find us a place for 3 nights and it works out. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Site divided into 2 parts, clean, large, level pitches, various water connections and waste disposal distributed around the site. Sanit. Facilities from old times, but very well maintained and clean. Small store at the reception with the most necessary groceries. Some street noise during the day (traffic noise), mostly quiet at night. Bus stop approx. 300 m away, from there direct connection to Winchester, approx. 10 min. Beautiful old town with pedestrian zone, cathedral, Abbey Gardens and many stores etc. Also ideal for visiting Stonhenge.

" - We stayed here with a tent in September 2013 to visit and sightsee Winchester. The tent area is quite narrow, but you are allowed to drive to the tent area by car to set up the tent, but then you have to drive out again and park the car in the very nearby parking lot. The sanitary facilities are, as the previous speaker said, somewhat older but clean and are close to the campsite. Only the main road is in the immediate vicinity of the campsite and the noise level really cannot be ignored, especially at night this is very disturbing! Oropax helps - if you have a tent, make sure you pack it. If you can look past this, you will find a campsite close to Winchester and there is no better place to visit this beautiful old town. The people at the Caravan Club are very helpful and friendly. Practical: There is also a kind of small store with all kinds of things to buy at the registration desk.

" - We were here at the beginning of our tour of England. The campsite belongs to the English Camping and Caravan Club and is very well maintained. Beautiful, spacious pitches except for the nearby main road, fairly quiet and very well maintained. Sanitary facilities older, but still good but a bit small. Unfortunately only a very small store without fresh bread rolls. NO playground. No comfort pitches. Nevertheless recommendable. We recommend trips to Winchester, Portsmouth and Stonehenge.
