"Ideal for canoeing - Ideal place for canoeing. We first had to get a Euro plug so that we had electricity. It was sold out almost everywhere in the high season, so bring your own. The sanitary facilities were very small and not separated by gender. One shower was totally filthy and covered in cobwebs. Probably hadn't been cleaned for weeks. The others were ok. Staff very nice. There is a canoe rental on site. The lady only spoke French. Booking worked anyway.

"Pleasant place located directly on the Ardeche - We (2 adults and 1 child) stayed at the campsite for 5 days at the end of June/beginning of July 2015. The campsite is ideally located for an Ardeche canoe trip. The canoe rental is right on the campsite. We were given friendly instructions in English. The campsite was not very full at the time. Accordingly, the sanitary facilities were clean, but a bit outdated. The water at the sinks was only lukewarm. The people at reception were always very nice and helpful. Our child loved the swimming pool. It was always clean and not overcrowded. We can't say what it's like when the place is fully booked.

"Beautiful place on the Ardèche - Beautiful campsite, friendly staff, extends to the banks of the Ardèche. Heated swimming pool, restaurant, bar and small store available. Baguettes are available to order in advance, but I didn't find the quality particularly good and preferred to cycle to the bakery in Vallon to enjoy a delicious baguette. The sanitary facilities are older but clean and toilet paper is available. I think the number of showers and toilets is too low, and there may be waiting times in the high season. For canoeists, the site is ideally located as a starting point for canoeing the Ardèche Gorge. There is a friendly and reasonably priced canoe rental company right next to the campsite.

"Place with good, French standard - September 2014: There are now Euro plugs throughout the campsite - so no more adapters are required. English was spoken at reception and they were very courteous and friendly. Sanitary facilities very clean. The swimming pool and children's pool are heated and still in full use at this time, although the site was at best 50% full. Vallon is about 1.2km away and is easily accessible on foot or by bike. Nice, very touristy center. Important: the museum of the "Grotte Chauvet", in which rock carvings with an alleged age of about 40000 years were found. The Arc over the Ardeche is about 3km away. June 2011: The site is very shady and dark due to the many tall trees. The pitches are absolutely flat and partly sandy (hardly any grass due to too much shade). Old power supply (no Euro plugs), which is why an adapter for French power sockets is essential. Not much going on in June and you can choose your pitch as you wish. In the season, due to the size of the site alone (approx. 250 pitches), a higher level of noise pollution is to be expected. The sanitary facilities were clean and were cleaned several times a day. However, they are open on all sides and therefore very "draughty". For us it was an ideal place for various excursions - Vallon Pont d` Arc / Pont d` Arc / Ardeche gorge / etc. We cannot give any information about the leisure activities on offer. We did not use them due to the weather!

"Balanced campsite without weaknesses - Beautiful, well-kept pitches, some with supply and waste water connections. Showers very large, toilets rather cramped. Nice pool, not very big but sufficient in relation to the size of the pitch. Ideal location to start canoeing, as landlord on site and first short tour to Pont'd Arc from site perfect. We were there in June 2014. Unbeatable value for money with ACSI. At this time only 70% occupied and very quiet as there was no entertainment. Only the beach on the Ardeche is without a "sunbathing area" - if you even need one there. If we go to Ardeche again, we will come back to this site.

"Beautiful place - Pitches are large, partly shady to very sunny. Sanitary facilities clean, unfortunately the yellow doors were cleaned with a very aggressive agent, so that it now has streaks and looks unclean. Sanitary facilities are scarce, in high season you will certainly have to queue. In the front part, the road is easy to hear.

Rives d'Arc is the address for Rivages de l'Ardèche: a unique base camp, located on the riverbank and surrounded by the cliffs of the gorges. Lodges and Cabanes d'Arc blend into the natural environment, offering comfort, freedom, and a cabin …spirit for getting together as a group. A place to live that combines relaxation and adventure: heated outdoor pools, restaurants serving regional cuisine, a kids' club, and a Discovery Area that becomes the meeting point before a canoe trip, hike, or nature outing. And at the heart of the site, the Jardins de l'Ibie invite you to discover a preserved natural area with games, orchards, and vineyards. Here, every generation finds its own rhythm, and everyone leaves with the same feeling of freedom. The pitch size will be adapted to fit the size of your tent, caravan or motorhome. Most pitches have some shaded areas. Our campsite admits tents, caravans and motorhomes, for up to 6 persons. are at your disposal: drinking water fountains nearby 1 chemical toilet in the toilet block near the river. 2 toilet blocks on the north bank side with laundry facilities an area for people with reduced mobility with a nursery area 1 motorhome service area. By paying a 10% surcharge, you can book a camping pitch with river view! This service is subject to availability. (see map) There is always a drinking fountain close by and there are 3 toilet and shower blocks (2 at Rives Nord with laundry facilities, 1 at Rives Sud) with disabled facilities, baby-changing facilities and 2 motorhome service areas. The camping pitches are available from 2 pm, arrival on any day. At the day of departure, pitches must be vacated before noon. A camping pitch entitles you to use all facilities and join in on all activities offered by the campsite. As to the location of your pitch, there's lots of choices: on Rives Nord, on Rives Sud, in the shade of trees, close to the toilet and shower blocks, etc. More info: please remember you will need a long cable of about 40 metres as well as French and European adapter
