- 5.0GGGeidobler Georg G.October 20265.0GGGeidobler Georg G.October 2026AdvantagesPretty much everything. The shop, the lounge, the sauna— what’s there to improve here? Everything is spotless and heated, plus it’s quiet and spacious. Plenty of room and enough space between people. So I’d definitely recommend it anytime!NegativesTime flies by so quickly here.A very pleasant stayThe best choice if you want to have a great and enjoyable camping experience.
In my opinion, there's hardly anything that could be improved here.Automatically translated. No campers have found this rating helpful yet. I mean, if a lady like that had been sitting at check-in, we wouldn't have come back. Too bad. This was our fourth time at the Grubhof, and everything has always been great.Vacation 2026Overall, I'm satisfied as always, but we really need to think about this one lady ☹️Automatically translated. No campers have found this rating helpful yet. Michael K.October 20262.0Michael K.October 2026AdvantagesFriendliness of the small staffNegativesReservation system. People who don’t speak German. A massive construction site where the noise starts as early as 7:10 a.m. The showers are dirty, and the shelf in the shower is rusty. Children are playing with remote-controlled electric cars in the quiet zone.I wonder why I should book a quiet zone if no one cares—or if guests aren’t clearly told what’s allowed and what isn’t. We’ve been regular guests for 25 years. We won’t be coming back. That’s the problem when profit takes precedence over service. It’s a real shame about this beautiful place.Once upon a time...Once upon a time, there was a great campground that, unfortunately, went from being personal to impersonal. It's really a shame.Automatically translated. No campers have found this rating helpful yet. Thanks to online check-in, arrival is very relaxed. The staff is very friendly, always willing to listen, and full of great tips. The restrooms are very stylishly designed and always clean.

On our way back from vacation, we stopped here again. Thank goodness. We extended our stay by two days. It’s always a pleasure—whether for biking, walking, etc.

No campers have found this rating helpful yet. - 5.0CSClarissa S.September 20265.0CSClarissa S.September 2026AdvantagesIt's always nice to come home.NegativesI can't think of anything right now.As always, it was great 👍The place is beautiful, and we’ve been coming here twice a year for two weeks for the past 10 years.
I don’t understand all the negative reviews online.
Yes, it has gotten much more expensive, but what isn’t getting more expensive these days? I have the option to ask about the price in advance, and if... it’s too expensive for me, I simply don’t book. But getting upset about it after the fact?
The staff is friendly and helps out whenever possible if there are any questions. Some guests should remember the saying: “What goes around comes around…”
Mareike runs the Grubhof, and she does a really great job. There are always people for whom that’s not enough.
The maintenance staff do their best and are right there when needed.
The campsite is great. Quiet, spacious, and there are plenty of bathrooms that are easy to reach. You’d be hard-pressed to find family bathrooms like these anywhere else.
We’d like to thank you once again for the wonderful time and are looking forward to January 27.
We’ve already booked, and the anticipation is the best part 😃😎👍🖖

Be the first! - 5.0GGGerhard G.September 20265.0GGGerhard G.September 2026AdvantagesOverall, there are many things, e.g., the size of the campsite, electricity and water hookups. Sanitary building 1: Great layout, spacious—just the cleanlinessNegativesThe restrooms were not very clean, which was not what we were used to from previous stays. Quiet Zone The rule regarding XXL sites—no dogs or children—was either changed or not enforced. We're used to something differentThis was our fourth time there. We’d say it’s still a very nice campground, but compared to previous years, there have been several negative changes… The cleanliness of the restrooms, as mentioned above, and also the fact that there may no longer be a quiet zone—dogs and children were prohibited in the... quiet zone, which we found to be a big plus, but now there were children in that area time and again. Perhaps this changed with the transition to Falkensteiner, which would be a real shame.Automatically translated. No campers have found this rating helpful yet. Be the first!

Paul H.September 20264.0Paul H.September 2026AdvantagesCampground Location Facilities (campground, restrooms, store, etc.) The staff were friendly (the reception staff and groundskeepers were very helpful)NegativesWhen it comes to booking and reservations, it's total chaos. No one can tell you exactly which campsites are available. We received a request for a deposit from Camping Zadar???Back at the Grubhof after 3 yearsWhen it comes to the booking portal, Falkensteiner
should take a look at the competition to see how easy it is.
Click on the site map, enter the length of stay,
spots marked in red are taken, green means available!!!
Then, during our stay, there were 6 RVs from the Czech Republic.
The group spent 2.5... hours maneuvering around the site.
Once they were finally parked, there was a lot of commotion in our area. Loud shouting, children playing soccer and running wild across the green areas, etc.
My neighbor immediately complained to the front desk and announced that we would be leaving right away.
According to them, as long-time campers—including at the Grubhof—we should show some understanding toward people of other nationalities. As the saying goes, different countries,
different customs.
In response, I and several other campers
complained that the campground rules apply to everyone.
The situation was eventually resolved.
The group was moved to an empty spot on the tent field
.
This resolved the issue for everyone, and we were able to enjoy the rest of our stay at the campground.Automatically translated. No campers have found this rating helpful yet.
