"Large, quiet square in the former castle park - We had a very nice comfortable pitch with very clean private sanitary facilities. Chateau de Verdoyer is very far away from all shopping facilities, nearest supermarket about 10 km away. WLAN very expensive, 5,-- Euro per day, 20,-- Euro per week! Free only in the courtyard at the reception but poor reception. Landscape very beautiful and lonely. Restaurant in the castle, new indoor swimming pool on site.

"Very nice quiet place, ideal for hiking. - We had a great 3-week vacation here with our dogs. Very quiet place away from the tourist crowds. Relaxed, friendly design in a small wood. Well-kept pitches, some with beautiful views, nice swimming pool. Clean sanitary facilities, some pitches with their own sanitary cubicle, very cramped but clean and functional, ventilation could be better. Very good restaurant well above campsite standard with excellent value for money. Very friendly staff, the owner family is very helpful and always concerned about the well-being of their guests. As the family is originally from the Netherlands, communication is also possible in German. Good hiking opportunities directly on site, very good in the surrounding area (national park). Tip: Hiking guide "Parc narurel regional Perigord-Limousin" from the Chamina Edition, available at the Super-U in Nontron. Ideal for dog owners, the site has a large meadow with ponds where dogs can run and swim freely. For a longer stay, it is more suitable for caravanners than motorhomes, as shopping, excursions and walks are easier to do by car. We felt very comfortable with the Ausems family and will definitely visit this site again. Our new favorite place in France

" - Very nice site in central France. Ideal for campers who don't necessarily have to go to the sea. Beautiful pool area. There is even a laundry service. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There are small villages and towns in the surrounding area that are well worth a visit. Especially on market days. There is entertainment for the little ones. The pitches are pleasantly large and in very good condition. The entire park-like grounds are well maintained. The small castle in the center of the grounds is an eye-catcher.

The 4-star campsite Château le Verdoyer is located in the Dordogne in the heart of the regional nature park, surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Périgord Vert. It welcomes you to campsites as well as in mobile homes, chalets, …caravans or lodge tents that you can rent for the whole family. Our various swimming pools, indoor pool, water slide, fishing and swimming ponds, restaurant and numerous facilities for sports, relaxation or leisure activities will delight young and old alike! With its 77 comfortable holiday rentals and its 109 spacious, demarcated and shaded pitches on 23 hectares, perfectly integrated into the natural landscape of the Périgord, Château le Verdoyer has managed to preserve the friendly and welcoming spirit of the campsite of yesteryear. The 5 rooms in the castle also invite you to a relaxing stay in the countryside... The swimming pools are open from the end of April to the end of September and are all heated for your comfort. The water area of almost 2000 m² consists of a magnificent swimming pool complex (3 different depths) with a sun terrace, a 37-metre long water slide for young and old and a beautiful indoor pool with integrated spa! The restaurant at Château le Verdoyer welcomes you with a menu full of delicious specialities from the Périgord region, including homemade goose liver pâté. Behind the thick walls of Château le Verdoyer is a restaurant that is very popular with camping guests. With themed weeks, musical evenings and children's shows, there is something to do at the campsite every week during the summer months!
