"Tilia Gacel - We paid for a two-night stay. One day there was no water in the campsite, there was no way to flush the toilet , wash hands, after starting and the second day for a change only cold water flowed in the showers. Adults can manage, but I would not want to be there with children. The showers were not clean in any way, the bins were only changed when the rubbish overflowed. We had to leave a day early due to illness, we discussed refunding all or part of the price at reception where the lady made an effort to accommodate but after a phone call to the management she corrected herself that unfortunately she was not refunding anything, well (you could pay in advance or at the end of your stay - don't take payment in advance)). Very lukewarm impression. The campsite did not look like the promo video.

"Summary - Great campground to be at. All facilities. NOTE GPS IS WRONG. Should be 49.20500 - 19.26756. Otherwise you are just on the wrong side of the river.

"Dolny Kubin - Before choosing a campground, I watched the advertising clip. It definitely deviates from reality. First of all, the level and cleanliness of the sanitary facilities. Strange situation at the reception many diplomas and awards regarding the camping. I really liked the pre-pay electricity fee - I paid less than 1 euro per day.

"We were unlucky, but ... - In 2012, we arrived at this campsite in April, which was supposed to be open all year round. But no one was there. As it was already evening, we just pitched up (with a queasy feeling, of course) and were even able to plug in the electricity. All the buildings were closed. -+-+-+-+- From home, we later contacted the operators to settle our electricity and accommodation costs. The very friendly email response was an apology for being closed. The overnight stay would of course be free for us. :-) They would like to invite us to visit again. -+-+-+-+- Of course, we cannot make any statements about the sanitary facilities, catering options, etc. ...

Profile

Campsite Tília Gäceľ is located in quiet natural environment on the norther Slovakia region - " Orava" called according the river flowing there. Camp is only 1,5 km far away from the city centre Dolný Kubín. Beautiful scenery of camp, …the view on mountain, ideal location near the river and the excellent possibilities of accommodation, restaurant and catering services create and provide the best conditions for organisation company trainings, summer camps, summer schools, family trips, ski holidays, recreational stay, family celebrations...during the all year. Thanks to the built river path in this part of the river is camp excellent rafting and popular place for canoeing and other water sports. Large area (3 ha), a wide range of sport and leisure possibilities provide comprehensive quality services. There is a playground (suitable for volleyball, tennis, basketball), football pitch with football gates, children playground with climbing frames and slides. In addition,around the camp is newly built cycle track, it is connected to the local roads. This cycle track is suitable for summer skating, too. There is available accommodation in 2 types of bungalows (8 x standar, 8 x extra standard bungalowsň. Each bungalow consist of 1x4 beds, 1 x 2 beds, 1 x bathroom, 1 x separated WC toaler. Extra standard bungalow has more mini kitchen. There is restaurant with bar and terracce.
