Camping Stobrec Split Reviews
- 3.0SGSabine G.August 20263.0SGSabine G.August 2026AdvantagesNice, shaded parking spot. The restroom facilities are always clean, and the sinks are always well-maintained.NegativesDanger posed by bicycles and e-scooters that race at excessive speeds along poorly lit paths, especially in the dark in the evening without lights. No staff to be found after 9:00 p.m. Unfortunately, the beach is not as shown in the pictures; it is on the other side of the campground. The beach right next to the RV sites has coarse, sharp gravel, and the water—even at the water’s edge—is not, as described, a paradise for toddlers, but rather a murky lake where you step in as if into liquid mud. You can’t see the bottom from the very first meter; it only gets clearer further out, but by then there are what feels like 1,000 seagulls constantly “doing their business.” That really took the fun out of swimming in the ocean. Unfortunately, the restaurant had a very limited menu, and the service wasn’t very friendly. They also didn’t mention that the campground is practically in the city, so it was often very noisy from the traffic. The campground is very good, but unfortunately the ocean and the beach are not so great.Danger posed by bicycles and e-scooters that race at excessive speeds along the poorly lit paths, especially in the dark in the evening without lights. Jeroen S.July 20264.0Jeroen S.July 2026AdvantagesA nice campground in a central location Clean restrooms Spacious, beautiful sitesNegativesStray cats around and under the folding trailer and inside the tent if you don't keep an eye on them Shower timer outside the shower stallStobrec CampgroundA surprisingly beautiful, well-landscaped campground in a location close to Split and other charming towns along the Croatian coast.
Clean sites, electricity and water nearby, and most sites are shaded. I had my doubts about the ground at the campsite, but that turned out not to be a problem either.... The restrooms are kept clean, and supplies (paper towels and toilet paper) are restocked immediately.
One minor drawback (not for me, but for the rest of my family) is that the shower timer is set for only 7 minutes, and it’s located outside the shower stalls.
There’s a nice little beach and a great pool at the campground, as well as a nice little restaurant and bar where you can relax in the evening.
The supermarket has a lot to offer, though it’s small and extremely busy in the morning; however, nearby (a 5-minute walk) there’s also a fruit shop and a bakery where you can buy freshly baked rolls and other treats.
In short, we had a wonderful time and highly recommend it.Automatically translated.1 camper found this rating helpful. - 4.0MKMarco K.June 20264.0MKMarco K.June 2026AdvantagesGreat, spacious campsites, lots of greenery, a great pool, close to SplitNegativesA little way outside SplitI'd love to do it againWe really enjoyed our stay at the Stobreč Campground and would come back anytime.
The campsites are pleasantly spacious, and the entire campground is beautifully landscaped and well-maintained. We were particularly impressed by the restroom facilities—they were clean and in very good condition throughout... our entire stay.
The pool area is also excellent. Even though it was peak season, it was never overcrowded, so we could always take a relaxing swim or unwind on a lounge chair.
The restaurant was a real highlight. Unfortunately, we didn’t go there until our last evening and only ordered a pizza to go. The pizza was excellent, and the value for money was truly top-notch. In hindsight, we regretted not trying the restaurant sooner.
The location is ideal if you want to visit Split. There’s a bus stop right in front of the campground, so you can easily and conveniently get to the Old Town. That worked perfectly for us.
The only minor criticism is the supermarket on the campground. The prices are significantly higher than outside the campground, and during our visit, the store also seemed a bit messy.
Many guests complain about the street noise in front of the campground. Yes, in the evenings you can occasionally hear motorcycles or, once in a while, an ambulance or a police car. Personally, though, that didn’t bother us at all. After all, the campground is close to the city—so a certain level of noise is just part of the deal.
Anyone vacationing here should keep in mind, however, that there isn’t much to do in the immediate vicinity in the evenings. For trips to Split or other destinations, you’ll therefore need to rely on the bus or a car.
Overall, the campground really won us over. Clean restrooms, spacious campsites, a great pool, an excellent restaurant, and perfect access to Split make it, for us, aAutomatically translated.1 camper found this rating helpful. - 5.0
nick D.June 20265.0nick D.June 2026AdvantagesIt's a really cozy place—a great campground with clean restrooms. Nice sites. Nice pool.NegativesThe sea on the campground side isn't suitable for swimming. Too bad.Camping StobrecIt's a great campground 10 km from Split. There are plenty of stores nearby for grocery shopping.Automatically translated.1 camper found this rating helpful. - 4.0KGKathrin G.June 20264.0KGKathrin G.June 2026AdvantagesFriendly staff, clean grounds with large sites. The cleaning staff work very hard around the clock. Small but great pool area. The pizzas at the restaurant are very tasty. Well-stocked, somewhat expensive kiosk.NegativesThe water at the beach was very dirty because of the river right next to the campground, and the ground was very muddy. The showers at the beach didn't work until a few days later. There were rusty soccer goals and old artificial turf mats lying on the beach. The bins for dog waste bags were all empty. The wristbands for the showers are time-limited, which I think is a shame for a place like this. The Wi-Fi was poor or nonexistent.A very nice campgroundSee the pros and cons above.
We’d visit this place again, but we’d leave our bikes at home. Anyone who rides a bike here must be suicidal. It’s best to rent a car.
There are 2 small grocery stores within walking distance.
Otherwise, there isn’t much going on in the immediate area. Lots of construction sites.
It’s a great place to relax.Automatically translated.1 camper found this rating helpful. - 5.0

H.Martin B.October 20254.0HBH.Martin B.October 2025AdvantagesRestaurant, store, different, large pitches, everything is available. The location by the sea is certainly a big advantage, beautiful beach, pool also available.NegativesRather a bit noisy! Located directly on a road and moped drivers are sometimes very fast and loud at night. Garbage collection at 7.30 in the morning.Beautiful camping by the seaWe spent one night at this campsite when we were passing through. It is very positive that there is a bus to the city of Split directly in front of the campsite. So you don't have to drive around with the motorhomes. Especially the pitches near the reception are very noisy. We were all the more positively surprised by Camping Stobreč Split! The reservation and reception team gave us friendly, patient and competent advice. The site itself is very well maintained, park-like, with spacious pitches. The sanitary facilities are clean and modern. The beach area is excellent Entertainment, fitness and wellness program. Large dog beach with several dog showers The restaurant is nice and the supermarket is very well stocked. Conclusion: A campsite that sets standards. A clear recommendation!NegativesA bit noisy because of the road nearby, but it didn't bother us because the camp itself is very quiet.Perfect all round - a system that makes you want moreAfter 40 years, my husband and I (both 67) started camping again - with no preparation and no recent experience. We were all the more positively surprised by Camping Stobreč Split!
The reservation team (Sanja & Ines) gave us friendly, patient and competent advice. At the reception we were warmly welcomed... by Magdalena, Franziska and a very dedicated colleague. We would particularly like to highlight Magdalena, who even personally organized and connected a water hose for us - that's service like you rarely experience!
The site itself is very well maintained, park-like, with spacious pitches. The sanitary facilities are clean, modern and even offer outdoor showers and toilets. Everything looks well thought out and is cleaned regularly.
The beach area is also excellent: clean, spacious, with showers, sunshades and changing cabins. There is a free entertainment, fitness and wellness program.
Dog owners will be delighted: a large dog beach, several dog showers and even a dog washing area - perfect!
The restaurant is beautifully located and well run, the supermarket is very well stocked.
Conclusion: A campsite that sets standards - warm, well-kept, well thought out. Thanks to Stobreč, we have become campers again out of conviction.
A clear recommendation - we'll be back!Automatically translated.2 campers found this rating helpful. - 5.0

The staff look after the green areas. The sanitary facilities are very well maintained by the staff.NegativesNoneThe stay was very nice. The weather, water, beach and pitch were great. The campsite is beautifully situated just outside Split. The old town can be reached by bus in about 15 minutes. The bus ticket costs only two euros - one way. The staff at reception are very happy to help with questions about bus connections, parking and activities around the campsite. We were greeted... very warmly by the staff on arrival and were able to check out without any problems on departure.
There are various beach areas, a fenced-off dog area, one for water volleyball and one for swimming. The waiters/waitresses in the restaurant are all very friendly. The food is good.

Sven "Knausrich" B.September 20244.0Sven "Knausrich" B.September 2024AdvantagesEverything in the immediate vicinityNegativesPrice a little highSuper placeWe were here early enough to get a pitch. In the evening, there were a few motorhomes parked at the campsite reception, which was certainly not nice. The pitches themselves are spacious and equipped with electricity and water. There are several sanitary buildings on the site to keep the distances short... for everyone. There is a pool (why actually?), several restaurants in and around the campsite, a small store, a bakery nearby and Split is also worth a visit. The beach is more for the little ones. After about 50 m, the water might reach an adult's waist. We felt very comfortable here. We paid the prices quoted for a mobile home including 2 people per night during our visit. And remember, motorhome drivers say hello to each other.Automatically translated. No campers have found this rating helpful yet. Reservation fee will not be deducted from the final bill.Camp Stobrec Sept. 2024It was not our first time in Stobrec, we liked it again very much, everything was very well maintained, great location of the campsite!
A small suggestion for improvement: there is a relatively easy way to cycle from Stobrec to the old town of Split, about 10km, hilly, on side roads or cycle paths along the sea, unfortunately there are no markings or signs for cycle paths at all, which would make things much easier!Automatically translated. No campers have found this rating helpful yet. Juis S.July 20232.0Juis S.July 2023AdvantagesClose to Split, restaurant on site OKNegativesRoad is extremely noisy, difficult access to plots, no nice beachA Sacher for itselfUnfortunately the beach is not nice as the water is murky. The pitches at the front of the beach are not recommended as the whole campsite goes past you. The nearby main road makes a lot of noise! The one-way street at the campsite is not clearly recognizable which can lead to almost unsolvable problems... on arrival and departure. No signposted pitches for arriving campers, which is unpleasant on some days, especially for trailer drivers, including narrow paths to the pitch. In my opinion, if you want to camp in Split, this is a great place, but if you are looking for beautiful water and peace and quiet, this is not necessarily the right place.Automatically translated.2 campers found this rating helpful.
