"small but nice - limited to the essentials, but that's what makes it special. in the morning you can hear the cows ... camping is perfect here.

"Quiet location for a visit to Salzburg - We received a very friendly welcome. Free choice of pitch was possible, at our request near the wash house. However, there was no electricity within 30 meters of our cable. This was annoying at first, but the groundsman helped us out with a long cable drum. Despite the other guests who had plugged themselves in, the fuse held. The beer garden was very cozy and the food was also good. Only the bread rolls could have been a little better. We found them a bit soggy. Conclusion: I would recommend it for a short visit to Salzburg. It was very nice and quiet away from the hustle and bustle. You can get into the city quickly by bike along the Salzach. The sanitary facilities were clean, but there could be a bit more space and storage options (hooks) in the shower cubicles. (Couple 55)

"Nice campsite near city - Nice camping for a sleepover or a couple of days stay to see Salzburg. Its near the city and near a bus station. Easy with breakfast as you have fresh baked bread and other stuff in the camping restaurant. Facilities are clean. Cant give it 5 star, but definitely 5 stars for the stuff! Really nice people. :)

"Camp flair - The site is very conveniently located for exploring Salzburg. Hiking trails start here, there is a bus stop nearby and getting into the city by bike is no problem at all. It's more like a large meadow where all kinds of campers are jumbled together. If you value your own pitch, you might be in the wrong place - we liked it. The campsite flair runs through the whole site: for example, there are only a few electricity boxes, which are sometimes too far away despite the long cable. Here, the neighbor sometimes offers to simply hang on to his cable drum. Water is also not available on every corner. There are a few tables and benches for the bike campers and everyone from reception to the restaurant is pretty relaxed. We found this very pleasant, but it may not be right for everyone. The restaurant, including the cozy beer garden, only has a small menu, but the food, including the local beers, is highly recommended. Bread rolls without pre-ordering, card payment, ... everything you need. The sanitary facilities.... clearly need improvement. Everything is very cramped, there is hardly any space in the shower cubicles to keep your clothes dry and they should definitely be cleaned more often and more thoroughly. Measured against the number of guests, everything here is undersized and therefore constantly in use and never really clean.

"Every gap is used here! - After 15 years of camping, I've never experienced anything like it! We had actually planned a relaxed city trip to Salzburg and therefore booked two nights at the Aigen campsite. When we arrived, we were initially greeted with the words: "Let's see if we can find a pitch." After about 20 minutes, we were allocated a pitch, which initially seemed quite good and offered sufficient distance from our neighbors (approx. 5m). The next day we explored the city. When we returned in the evening, we discovered a motorhome in the gap next to our pitch that had been placed there by the campsite staff. Now we only had a space just 1m wide and we couldn't eat outside or stay there the next day as there was simply no more room. When we approached the campsite staff about the situation, we were only told that the motorhome would only be there for one night anyway. But this statement did nothing to calm our anger, as it didn't make our stay any better. To make matters worse, we discovered that the campsite had far too few and poorly maintained toilets due to overcrowding.
