" - As the Serrioz campsite in Aix le Bains, which we always use for overnight stays on our trips to the south of France, was full, the site owner referred us to the Saumont campsite. This site is located about 20 km north of Aix in a mountain and forest landscape on the Rhone and is quite remote, it is mainly frequented by canoeists. We were given a very friendly welcome. The campsite has a nice, clean swimming pool, tennis courts and a restaurant. The sanitary facilities are simple but well-maintained. The noise from the adjacent road is annoying.

Le Camping Saumont est un excellent point de départ pour pratiquer des activités diverses : …nous sommes à proximité des pistes cyclables avec la ViaRhôna, mais également de la montée en vélo du col de la Chambotte, du Grand Colombier, du Clergeon ...Le chemin de Saint Jacques de Compostelle passe à côté du camping avec possibilité de prise en charge à partir du Pont de la Loi. Vous trouverez également dans le camping une PISCINE , une pataugeoire, une aire de jeux pour les enfants, deux terrains de tennis, deux terrains de pétanque, un terrain de volley, un panier de basket, un trampoline, les ANIMATIONS POUR TOUS en saison, un snack et un bar, le pain et la viennoiserie.
