"Insider tip for couples - Riberduero" is a beautiful, quiet campsite. It has large, flat pitches and is surrounded by many pine trees, which provide plenty of shade and create a lovely ambience. Despite the many trees, the campsite is very well maintained. Electric hook-ups and fresh water are located at the edge of the pitches. The sanitary building is small and very clean! It has toilet paper and a hairdryer. There is also a swimming pool on site. This campsite leaves nothing to be desired! The owner and her partner as well as her parents are very accommodating and helpful. The whole team makes for a carefree and smooth vacation. In addition, there are weekly wine tastings including fine tapas, where wines with an exceptionally good price/performance ratio are offered. (The Landlady translates into E and NL). A very successful event! "Camping Riberduero" is aimed more at adults (couples) than families with children. There is a restaurant next to the campsite, which is run independently of the campsite operators. There is also a small store next to the reception where you can buy essentials and order fresh bread for the next day. For excursions by bike or e-bike, the campsite operator offers cycle routes in the form of maps or PC printouts. The "Camping Riberduero" can be warmly recommended to any camper - whether with a tent, caravan or motorhome! Thea Dammann

"Beautiful, quiet place on the edge of Peñafiel - We enjoyed spending two nights on this quiet and green site. The grounds look very well maintained overall. There are not many sights in the town apart from the fortress. No bread service in the morning but the restaurant was open in the evening and is highly recommended.

"Well-kept site with small pitches under dense pine trees. A little too expensive. - We were on the pitch when it had just opened for the 2017 season. The first impression is that the site is pleasant and well designed - but everything is a bit too cramped. There are tight bends on the roads and the pitches are small. We were able to accommodate our compact caravan. It would have been difficult to put up an awning. We were able to choose the most suitable pitch on an almost empty campsite. The sanitary facilities are well equipped and clean. The rooms were heated. Which was important with the night frosts we still had here. The sinks did not all have hot water. At the time of our stay there was no catering on site. The restaurant was still closed. There are plenty of shops in the nearby town. We stopped here for a few days and chose the campsite as the starting point for our sightseeing and cultural program. We were pleased that the campsite was almost the exception in this area. If the campsite is full, it could be very crowded.

Profile

Camping Riberduero is a rustic an quiet campsite, located in the heart of the Ribera del Duero wine region. It offers all services needed for a great stay (heated toilet and shower block, swimming pool in summer months, barbecues, naturally …delimited pitches, lots of information about what to visit/cycling routes etc.) It´s just a short walk to the town of Peñafiel, where you can find supermarkets, bars, restaurants and many cultural activities. The castle of Peñafiel houses the regional wine museum and many wineries in the area offer guided tours and tastings. There are also several walking and cycling routes nearby. At the reception we speak Spanish, English and Dutch.
