"Upscale place with great location, peace & leisure facilities - The campsite is located on the outskirts of the town, just under 1.5 km from the city center. It is a 4-star campsite and you can tell from the very nicely styled reception. This is of course also English-speaking and friendly and professional. There is a small store in reception with a cheese and sausage counter and everything else you need. Not exactly cheap, of course... The big plus point of the site is the very generously sized and cleverly parceled out pitches. By clever I mean that it simply looks "nice". It's not just a laurel hedge that separates you from your neighbor, but alternating greenery, small trees and a few colorful flowers. You like to stand there and even when it's full you have the feeling that you're alone on the pitch. A great solution! Unfortunately, the (unisex) sanitary facilities can't quite keep up. Although there are several sanitary buildings on the reasonably large site and the cleanliness is good, I expect toilets with toilet seats at this level (and price!). I was a bit disappointed... There is a really well-designed pool with a large, beautiful sunbathing lawn under olive trees. And plenty of sun loungers! Next to it is the small restaurant, which offers a limited (and rather) expensive selection of food and drinks. The place has a very nice atmosphere that does justice to Provence: lavender everywhere, flowers and a beautiful square design. The town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence offers what you would expect from a quaint little Provence town and is particularly lively on market days. Beautiful cycling (to Arles, Avignon) and hiking tours (the small "mountain range" Les Alpilles - TOP!) can also be started directly from the site. You feel at home here and despite the motto "Pay and be happy", a good rest is guaranteed. You shouldn't be a thrifty person here...

"Visiting Saint Rémy-de-Provence and Les Baux-de-Provence - beautiful, very well kept campsite. sanitary facilities super clean! in terms of location perfect for both places to see, Saint Rémy is walking distance. vwb walking (with dog) little / no options from campsite. les Alpilles behind Saint Rémy is nearest hiking area. beautiful. above

"Beautifully laid out campsite - We received a very friendly welcome on arrival and were taken to our pitch. The pitches are large and divided by high hedges so that everyone has their own area. There is plenty of shade without being under trees. The site has been lovingly designed down to the last detail. The sanitary buildings are modern and very clean. There are delicious baked goods in the morning. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. The nearest supermarket is only a few minutes' walk away and the beautiful town center is also within easy reach. There is a lot to discover in the surrounding area. Unfortunately, we were there during the big heatwave and couldn't see everything we had originally planned. We will definitely visit this campsite again, but not in the height of summer.

"A wonderful fall vacation - We spent a good week on this campsite, the staff were very nice and the place was very clean. Due to the low season, the price was okay, the site was not overcrowded and there were few young people there. We really liked it here, both the campsite and the town and surrounding area are very nice, we will definitely come back again.

Camping Monplaisir** – Ruhiger Campingurlaub im Herzen der Provence** Sie suchen einen ruhigen, gepflegten Campingplatz in der Provence – ohne Animation, aber mit viel Platz, Komfort und einer idealen Lage? Willkommen auf dem Camping Monplaisir**** in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, mitten im Naturpark …Alpilles. Unser familiengeführter Campingplatz liegt auf einem ehemaligen provenzalischen Bauernhof, der sich seit 1857 im Besitz unserer Familie befindet. Seit 1974 empfangen wir hier Camper aus ganz Europa. Monplaisir ist bewusst kein Ferienclub: keine laute Animation, keine Abendshows und keine großen Veranstaltungen. Bei uns stehen Ruhe, Erholung und die Provence im Mittelpunkt. Ein großer Vorteil ist unsere Lage: Das historische Zentrum von Saint-Rémy-de-Provence ist nur etwa 1 km entfernt und bequem zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad erreichbar. Restaurants, Cafés, Geschäfte und der berühmte provenzalische Wochenmarkt liegen ganz in der Nähe. Trotzdem befindet sich der Campingplatz ruhig im Grünen. Unsere Stellplätze sind begrünt, schattig oder sonnig und je nach Kategorie mindestens 80 m² bzw. über 100 m² groß. Sie eignen sich für Wohnmobile, Wohnwagen und Zelte. Stromanschluss (10 A), Wasser, Abwasser sowie kostenloses WLAN über Glasfaser sorgen für zusätzlichen Komfort. Sechs gepflegte Sanitärgebäude verteilen sich über den Campingplatz. Zur Entspannung erwartet Sie unser 18 × 10 Meter großer Pool mit separatem Kinderbecken und Liegewiese. Im Sommer können Sie den Tag auf der Terrasse unseres Bistrot de l’Olivier bei einem Aperitif, einem Glas regionalen Wein oder einem Abendessen ausklingen lassen. In unserem kleinen Laden erhalten Sie morgens Brot und Croissants sowie ausgewählte Produkte aus der Region. Monplaisir ist auch ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge. Les Baux-de-Provence, Avignon, Arles, der Luberon und der Pont du Gard sind gut erreichbar. Radfahrer finden direkt in der Umgebung zahlreiche schöne Strecken durch Olivenhaine, Weinberge und die Landschaft der Alpilles. Die EuroVelo 8 verläuft ganz in der Nähe. Auch wer sein Fahrzeug im Urlaub gerne stehen lässt, ist bei uns richtig: Saint-Rémy erreichen Sie zu Fuß, viele Ausflüge lassen sich mit dem Fahrrad unternehmen. Was unsere Gäste besonders schätzen?
