"Chartres and its beautiful surroundings - Very nice, park-like campsite with clean, modern sanitary facilities, very shady under tall trees. Very friendly staff. The town of Chartres was within 30 minutes walking distance.

"Sightseeing - Chartres - It's a very good place to visit Chartres. This time we rode our bikes into the city: Chartres is simply beautiful and recommended to everyone! Apart from that...the square is a transit area, a place where people come and go. So there's always something to look at ;-)

"Inadequate price-performance ratio - The site is clean and quiet. Small playground. You can reach Chartres easily and quickly on foot through a park. However, the sanitary facilities are very outdated and not functional. Too expensive for 35€ a night.

"good & inexpensive place for a stopover! - We have already stopped here three times on our trip to the Atlantic (near La Rochelle). The site is not a ***** site, but for us it has the charm: ++ we are past Paris; ++ we can also come without registration; ++ a supermarket is ~1km away; ++ the prices are "agréable" (pitch, electricity, WLAN ...) ++ you can eat snacks (steak haché ...) on site; ++ bread rolls (croissants etc.) can be pre-ordered .... If the need arises, we will \_gerne\_ go there again!!! (And maybe we'll finally manage to see the cathedral :-( )

"Only suitable for transit - The square is very suitable for visiting Chartres. You can walk into the city in 30 minutes. If it weren't for the absolutely miserable sanitary facilities. You're lucky if you have your own toilet on board. Snacks available, baguettes etc. must be ordered in advance (we could only do this on request, but the quality was good).

In 2021, the bords de l'Eure campsite will become the Camping de Chartres managed by C'Chartres Tourisme. Throughout the season, Alan and Christine, the campsite managers, and their team are on hand to welcome you in the best possible conditions. …What we want to offer you is a ‘small village’ atmosphere, with advice and quality products. With plenty of shade and close to the River Eure, you can get to the town on foot along the Camino St Jacques de Compostelle or by bike on the ‘la véloscénie’ cycle path. The cathedral is 2 km away. Before your stay: we'll be happy to give you all the practical information you need about the campsite and its services, so that you can prepare for your visit with complete peace of mind.
