Discover rural life at camping la Semnadisse. On the edge of the French village of la Semnadisse lies the campsite of the same name. This authentic campsite is an ideal place for families and those seeking peace and quiet to …enjoy nature. Here, the hectic life at home gives way to French outdoor life. The campsite has been in existence for 25 years. New since 2021 with a German campsite operator. Camping la Semnadisse has a total of 31 pitches. Old oak trees surround the spacious pitches and provide shade and privacy. Campfires may be made on the pitches in truck metal hoops. For those who need a little more comfort, there is a choice of 12 rental accommodations. The mobile homes have a large terrace with sofa/bed, dining table and outdoor kitchen. A small farmhouse can also be rented, which has central heating, a wood-burning stove and a large private garden. The campsite is a paradise especially for children: They are allowed to help with the daily care and feeding of the animals, there are several playgrounds as well as a play corner with children's toys, they can play hide and seek in the forest and swim for hours in the lake. The lake is pleasantly cool even in summer, it has water even in dry summers and thanks to the oak trees there is no algae problem. The campsite has its own café with over 100 seats, some of which are covered. The furniture is a motley assortment from the flea market. It is also a place to stay in case of bad weather, in the morning the guests have a coffee here and in the evening they bake bread, drink beer or tea and the children organise colourful evenings. The playground is right next door. Friday is pizza day: At 12 noon, the preparation begins - first wood has to be collected - and the guests, especially children, help with the preparation. From 6 pm, the pizzas are baked in the wood-fired oven and you can watch or prepare your own pizza.
