"Please do not drive into this area - About the campground: The nightmare begins as you enter or exit the campground—it’s extremely confusing, and you have to turn onto a busy road. This road is noisy both during the day and at night. The campsite itself is nice, but that’s about it. The showers are cold and outdated, and the sinks are filthy.Next to the restaurant, the scene looks like a junkyard—which is very inviting for a restaurant visit. There’s dog hair everywhere in and around the restaurant, and three dogs are constantly hanging around there. When we arrived, we were told that the pizza was fresh and not frozen. In the evening, we wanted to eat pizza, but we were told that the delivery person was having trouble with his car, so not every pizza was available. Thank goodness we left without eating. The owner, who also runs the campground, serves customers in shower slippers and not exactly clean clothes. At night, when you walk to the restrooms, some sections of the campground’s walkways aren’t lit. Unfortunately, we had to pay for the entire campsite in advance while we were still on the road—now we know why: most campers usually leave here after four days at the latest. We wanted to do the same, but then we would have only received a voucher for the campground. We can only advise everyone to look for or drive to a better option in the area—there are plenty of places. As for the owner himself, all we can say is that being self-employed in Germany means: working constantly, not chilling constantly. Dog feces on the benches across from the restaurant. Poor hygiene in the toddler bathtub and changing table. When it’s windy or raining, branches fall, posing a danger to people and property. Tree maintenance is nonexistent. We left the campground a day early

Description

Profile

In the beautiful Cèze Valley, surrounded by greenery and on the banks of the Cèze River, lies Camping La Plage. On the private beach, you can swim, sail, fish or sunbathe to your heart's content. The campsite is simple and …relaxed. There is the river, a few playgrounds and a nice restaurant. And in the summer, there are cosy evenings with live music. A large part of the pitches at Camping La Plage are located directly on the river. Ideal for water lovers. These are demarcated and mostly shady pitches. There are also some beautiful lodge tents for rent. The campsite is well organised. The sanitary facilities are located above the bar. They may look a bit outdated, but they are clean and well maintained. All visitors to La Plage campsite fully enjoy the Cèze river. Either you like to swim or you like to go canoeing or fishing. There are pebble beaches near the campsite and there is a dam near the site. There are deeper sections that are perfect for swimming, but also shallow areas where the little ones can paddle and play safely. The water is wonderfully clear! Would you like to rent canoes or kayaks? Contact the reception for this! There is no special entertainment programme for children, but there are plenty of opportunities for fun and games. In the high season, there are cosy evenings with live music or a bouncy castle. There is also a playground and a recreation room with a pool table, TV and library. Although there is no swimming pool, there is plenty of water fun to be had in and around the river.
