Description

Profile
In the heart of the French Dordogne, La Chatonnière campsite has a fantastic location right by the water. There is a sandy beach and you can swim in the river. You can enjoy a delicious meal in the pizzeria. The … village of Jumilhac-le-Grand, which is also home to a castle, is just one and a half kilometres from the campsite. Spacious and quiet pitches When you drive to your pitch, you will immediately notice how spacious it is here. Due to the difference in altitude, the site is divided into two parts. There are plenty of nice places to pitch your tent, caravan or motorhome. On the lower part of the campsite, the pitches are close to the river. All pitches offer privacy and are surrounded by bushes and shrubs. You can also spend your nights in a cool safari tent or in a beautiful mobile home surrounded by greenery. Swim and play in the river Looking to cool off on warm days? Then dip your feet in the river that runs alongside the campsite. The water is not very deep and there are plenty of places in the water, on the beach and on the banks where children can splash and play safely. The sunbathing area offers shade and there are showers. This is also where the canoes are deposited after a tour on the river. Great fun for children Crafts, feeding piglets, archery or a performance at the next talent show? La Chatonnière campsite organises lots of activities for young campers in high season. Would you like to go hiking? Several hiking routes start from the campsite. Do you prefer cycling? Then hire a bike at the campsite, but don't underestimate the hilly surroundings.
