"Beautifully situated site at the end of a fjord - Beautiful site located directly on a fjord. On arrival, you receive a very friendly welcome and are free to choose your own pitch. +-+-+-+-+ Power connection: 16 A via Schuko plug (no CEE!), but it doesn't seem to be a clean/DIN-compliant phase/neutral conductor/protected earth conductor connection (as on all the sites we visited in Norway), as we found out with our socket tester. +-+-+-+-+ The sanitary facilities are relatively clean and functional even with a high number of guests, the toilet cubicles in the normal wash house are cramped, the hot showers work well (with coins: 10 crowns per 6 minutes). If you are staying near reception (or alternatively like to walk a little further) you can use the nice large combined cabins (toilet+shower+washbasin). It is somewhat questionable that in the colder seasons there is only one sink available for everyone - in the common room or the warming room. This means long queues or washing up at rather unconventional times ... +-+-+-+-+ The atmosphere on the site is good, the campers are all very friendly. +-+-+-+-+ Surprising: With 4 adults and an ACSI Card, we actually only paid 190 crowns per night, i.e. almost no extra charge for the additional people. The electricity consumption is not even limited. We are happy to accept that the hot shower is not included (i.e. not in accordance with the ACSI rules).

Aurdal Fjordcamping og Hytter - a year-round family campsite located in idyllic surroundings by Aurdalsfjorden in Valdres. The campsite has 190 year-round pitches, lovely pitches for overnight tourists down to the fjord, 18 rental cabins and 4 modern apartments. There …are two five-star sanitary facilities, a kiosk and a tavern/pub, and dance parties are held in the summer months. The campsite offers many activities for the whole family, with an interactive playground, ball pit, climbing tower, trampolines, playground equipment, newly restored mini golf, pedal cars and free Wi-Fi. Along the campsite's 1 km long shoreline there is free fishing and a beach with water trampolines and diving tower. The campsite is located a short distance from Valdres Golf, Valdres Alpine Centre and Danebu. See www.aurdalcamp.no for information/booking.
